The first three sections in this guide will give you the lowdown on some of our most popular activities. At the back, you’ll find a handy ‘at-a-glance’ chart showing the full range on offer, along with locations and prices. The extension numbers shown work from the hotel’s internal phones. CROQUET Mallet whacks ball, ball rolls through hoop, victory is nigh. Hardly anyone seems to play croquet these days, but it’s plenty popular with our guests. Lawn provided, mallets and balls available from Melville Hall. £5 CRAZY GOLF Miniature game, maximum fun. With its small-scale versions of Scottish landmarks, our miniature golf course is not to be missed. Hire balls and clubs from Action Glen, then come and find us near the 1st of the main course. £2.50

DRIVING RANGE Beginner or seasoned golfer, work on your swing at our covered 8-bay driving range, near the main golf course. £3 GOLF The 18-hole course is set right in the Strathearn Valley, with atmospheric views of Ben Vorlich and Ben More. That said, you’ll have to switch off from the scenery a bit if you want to play your handicap on this challenging course. Driving range, club and buggy hire also available. CLAYS Come down to Action Glen for a shooting experience that’s guaranteed to bring out your competitive side. With our instructor and all the safety gear on hand, we make sure it’s only the clays that get hurt. £50pp
DISC GOLF We don’t suppose many of our guests have played Disc Golf before. But then what better reason to offer it? Instead of hitting a ball with a club into a hole, you throw mini flying discs into a series of baskets. The object is to complete the series with the fewest throws. Easy peasy. Or is it? £2

CINEMA After a busy day, dinner and a movie can be just the ticket - even if there’s no ticket required. We show movies for free every evening in our 38-seat cinema room. So grab an early dinner (popcorn optional) and enjoy. For directions and showing times, ask at reception.
GYM Get your dose of endorphins in the hotel’s fully kitted out gym. Do your usual workout, or book a session with a personal trainer, who can assess your fitness and devise a training programme to help you meet your goals. OFF ROAD DRIVING All torque, all action. Our 40-acre all terrain course was once a sand and gravel quarry. Now it’s a playground for big 4x4s and people who love to drive them how they’re built to be driven. Passengers welcome; anyone with a driving licence (and steely nerve) can have a go. £125 per vehicle (max 5 people per vehicle)

SEGWAY TREKKING It’s impossible to describe the off road Segway experience. Simply nothing compares. MOUNTAIN BIKING What could be better for the soul than 900 acres of freedom on two wheels? Stick to the paths, or choose your own route. Bike and helmet hire available. 1 hour, half day and full day hire available from £5
QUAD BIKE QUEST This is four-wheeled mayhem at its best. Book an hour session for up to 18 people and a qualified instructor will lead you round the estate, across all manner of challenging terrain. HORSE RIDING Experienced rider or first time in the saddle, if you want to explore our 900-acre estate on horseback, we’ll make it happen.
