Ray Condray and incumbent Mayor Scott Conger will face each other in the City of Jackson’s municipal election run off set for June 13, 2023.

Both candidates for the City of Jackson Mayors position expressed their appreciation to their supporters and are encouraging people to be sure to come back and vote the upcoming run off ballot. Four New Jackson City Council members were elected: district 1 - J P Stovall defeated Sam Turner 491 to 197

Candice Busby for district 3 - unopposed 695

Frank McMeen defeated incumbent Tara Skinner 488 to 458 for district 5

Larry Lowrance defeated Byron Elam 509 to 492 for district 6

The Jackson South Side Lady Hawks basketball team was invited to the TN State Capitol last week where Gov. Bill Lee met with and congratulated them on their recent Girls State Championship.

Jackson, TN Boom Named to Death Group G in The Soccer Tournament

Jackson, TN - Jackson, TN Boom will be competing in Group G, also known as the Death Group, in this year’s The Soccer Tournament. The team is excited to represent their city and showcase their talent in the tournament.

The teams in Group G are:

- Team Dempsey, led by former USMNT player Clint Dempsey.

- Sneaky Fox FC, led by MLS MVP Mike Magee

- Zala FFF, led by MLS player A.J. De La Garza

- Jackson, TN Boom, led by local Jackson business man Cesar Quispe
