THE UNIVERSE The world of Alcaino is one you rarely

see, hear, or read about; his exploits started in the 1970s when he hooked into Pablo Escobar’s criminal organization and became a trusted trafficker, money launderer, a criminal mastermind who could blend into any ethnic backdrop. Hiding his Argentinian roots, Alcaino not only built the trust of Escobar himself but created a pipeline into Los Angeles, where he laundered money through gold operations and other sources. It wasn’t long before he was on the radar of federal law enforcement, and that is when he crossed paths with Customs Agent Robert Mazur, an expert undercover operator penetrating global money laundering operations. After a stint in various federal prisons, Alcaino hooked into the Russian Mafia and the Bright Beach power structure with direct ties to Russian Intelligence. Alcaino used federal prison to elevate his connections, and with Russian ties, he started to f lood the marketplace again with cocaine and money. Traversing the globe and making even more sinister connections, Alcaino got on the radar of D.E.A. and agent John Post of the Newark Field Division.

With his back against the wall, Alcaino did something he thought wasn’t possible. He went to work as a D.E.A. super informant, working with the D.E.A. Special Operations Division. Alcaino took on the role of an ailing Italian Organized Crime Figure, Colombia Narco, a Mexican financier, a savvy chameleon, who the D.E.A. would insert into operations worldwide. Working with the D.E.A., Alcaino would receive ten percent of any seizures, and it was this work with the government that made him millions but also gave him a free pass from federal prisons. Alcaino was also able to infiltrate a global syndicate led by the terrorist group Hezbollah and went undercover their drug, money, and gun operation that led all the way to the political leadership in Syria, Russian, and Iran. Alcaino is a rare animal who has survived the Global Narco Wars and is now talking for the first time.

THE PATH Documentary Series

PODCAST Series

With unprecedented access to Alcaino & Robert Mazur, the plan is to create a Narco Wars Universe. It will include a 6-part documentary series based on the fifty-year story of Roberto Alcaino, one-part narco warrior, two parts D.E.A. pawn. A story that goes to the heart of the nexus of global drug trafficking, geo-political power. This documentary series will focus on levels of transnational crime, wherein nation states like Venezuela, Lebanon, Colombia, and Africa become Narco regimes, and the cat and mouse game with the D.E.A.’s Special Operations Division, C.I.A. and International organized crime units.

NARCO WARS, the podcast, will be a weekly deep dive hosted by author, federal agent, and producer Robert Mazur and Roberto Alcaino. Each episode will be a new case inside the files of the D.E.A.’s Special Operations Division, Interpol, and other elite narcotics task forces.

THE PATH THE BOOK

Scripted Film & Television

Author Robert Mazur will write the definitive account of Alcaino’s life for the first book in a series under the working title Narco Wars; future seasons will cover the D.E.A.’s operation into Hezbollah, the narcostate of Venezeula and the creation of The Cartel of the Sun, and an inside look at the Italian Gomorrha.

The plan is to take the individual pieces of I.P. and leverage them into the scripted tv and film marketplaces. Robert Mazur’s book The Infiltrator became a film in 2017, starring Bryan Cranston, John Leguizamo, Diane Kruger, and Benjamin Bratt. Directed by Brad Furman. The Narco Wars I.P. Universe will be created across multiple platforms.

THE TEAM Robert Mazur Mr. Mazur is the author of two books, each detailing long-term undercover infiltrations he executed within separate criminal organizations. He first wrote the New York Times Best Seller, THE INFILTRATOR, a memoir about his face-toface dealings with deadly direct reports to Pablo Escobar, including Escobar’s principal consigliere and attorney. While working for Escobar and others as their launderer, he also infiltrated the Bank of Credit & Commerce International, the 7th largest privately held institution in the world, a bank that laundered billions in illicit funds for drug traffickers, illegal arms dealers, terrorists, tax evaders, corrupt third-world leaders, and other criminals. During years inside the Medellin Cartel, Mr. Mazur recorded hundreds of undercover meetings and collected evidence that led to the prosecution of more than 100 drug traffickers and launderers, a dozen corrupt BCCI senior officials, and the bank itself.

Robert Mazur was also the inspiration behind the internationally released major motion picture THE INFILTRATOR, starring Bryan Cranston and Diane Krueger. As an Executive Producer of the film, he worked closely with the director, actors, and other talent involved in the production and promotion of the film.
