When walking, avoid isolated roads or sidewalks. Stay away from the street side.
Be wary of over-friendly strangers. Refuse any o er of food or drinks or rides.
3. TELEPHONE CALLS
When entertaining calls, always establish the identification of the caller. Get details such as name, address (o ce or residence) and contact numbers.
Do not entertain calls of persons unfamiliar to you even if they claim connection to you through a friend or business colleague.
Visitors to Your Room
For security and safety reasons, we strongly recommend that you notify the Front Desk of any overnight visitors you may have, or any individuals you would like to have access to your room.
4. FOR YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY
Secure any papers or documents properly that has your full name and hotel room number. Likewise, write your name and room number on o cial hotel forms only.
Please transact hotel business only with authorized personnel of the hotel.
To help ensure the highest level of confidentiality, avoid giving out information regarding your stay i.e. schedule for the day, activities, itinerary and room number to strangers.
5. FIRE SAFETY
Fire can happen anytime. Hence, it is important to know the basic procedure on what to do should a fire incident occur. Please take the time to observe the following points and the suggested procedures:
• Fire exits on your floor are clearly marked.
• Please take note of the evacuation plan posted on the backside of your room door.
• Check the location of the fire extinguishers/hose cabinets and alarms in the corridor of your floor.
• Understand the air-conditioning ON and OFF control in your room.
Safety & Security
Upon Discovering Smoke or Fire
1. Do not panic.
2. Activate the nearest fire alarm manual pull station.
3. Call the Hotel Operator at extension “0”.
4. When possible and if trained to fight the fire, use the nearest portable fire extinguisher in the area:
• Carry the fire extinguisher by holding on to the lower lever of the handle.
• Pull the safety pin.
• Hold the hose and aim the nozzle to the base of the fire.
• Squeeze the lever.
• Sweep side to side until the fire is extinguished or the content of the fire extinguisher is fully discharged.
5. If not trained, wait at a safe distance and guide the responding fire fighting team to the scene of the smoke or fire.
6. Should there be imminent or potential danger that the fire will grow big, leave the area using the nearest emergency exit staircase. Never use the elevator. Please take your room key card with you.
7. Assemble outside the hotel entrance.
Upon Hearing The Order for Evacuation
1. Take your room key card and move cautiously.
2. Turn o the lights and electrical equipment/appliances.
3. Lock your room upon leaving the area. Make sure no one is left behind.
4. Proceed immediately to your nearest fire exit. Do not rush in the stairways.
5. If there is smoke in the corridor, crawl on your hands and knees if necessary. Always stay as low to the ground if there is any smoke present. Remember, most fatalities occur from inhalation of smoke and poisonous gases and not from burning.
6. Maintain order during evacuation.
7. Assemble outside the hotel entrance.
