Fragmentos surge como consecuencia de una inquietud y una preocupación, ¿Cuál es el futuro de un paisaje olvidado?
What will be the future of the ordinary landscape?
El proyecto esta localizado en el parque natural de la albufera, en El Perellonet una pequeña localidad situada a tan solo 20 km de la ciudad de Valencia. Se trata de una ciudad lineal de menor escala, un lugar estratificado donde lo natural y lo urbano conviven en un mismo ámbito, dispuestos en bandas paralelas y separadwos por la carretera Cv-500.
The project is located in ‘La Albufera’ natural park, more specifically in El Perellonet, a small town just twenty kilometers far from the city of Valencia. It is a lineal city of smaller scale, a stratified place where the fields and the urban coexist in the same area, ordered in parallel bands and separated by the highway.
El proyecto surge de tres premisas en las que basa su intervención y extrae de cada una de ellas una herramienta proyectual:

Just as the growth of greenhouses arises as a response to a productive and economic need, the project raises what will be the next need in the world of architecture that can transform the urban area or its landscape as we know it. An architecture in response to the need of new ways of energy production, that will create a new place for experience.
Al igual que el crecimiento de los invernaderos surge como respuesta a una necesidad productiva y económica, el proyecto plantea cual será la próxima necesidad en el mundo de la arquitectura que pueda modificar el espacio urbano o su paisaje tal cual lo conocemos. Se plantea una arquitectura como respuesta a la necesidad de nuevas formas de producción de energía que genere un lugar de vivencia y experimentación.
It is conceived as a dualism, a space developed on a wide horizontal surface, as a container of programs under a wide greenhouse roof. In constrat to the flatness, a vertical and slender tower is built, opposite to the base above it rises.
Se concibe como un dualismo, un espacio desarrollado en una amplia superficie horizontal,como un contenedor de programas desarrollados bajo una amplia cubierta ajardinada a modo de invernaderos. Frente a esta horizontalidad, se erige una torre estrecha y esbelta que tiende a la verticalidad y se contrapone al zócalo sobre el que se eleva.
Structurally the project is conceived as a stratification. Different vertical elements support a single horizontal plane on which the tower stands out like a landmark in the lagoon.
Estructuralmente el proyecto se entiende desde la estratificación. Diferentes elementos verticales sostienen un único plano horizontal sobre el que se erige la torre como un hito en la albufera.
As you go through this large space, the images, perspectives, experiences, users and sensations are interspersed, achieving the transversality that was sought in the beggining.
A medida que se recorre este gran espacio cubierto se suceden las imágenes, perspectivas, se entremezclan las experiencias, usuarios y sensaciones, consiguiéndose la transversalidad que se buscaba en un principio.
Fragments is a new architectural concept, a hybrid architecture with specific and replicable characteristics that assimilates a triple nature: object, landscape and infrastructure.
Fragmentos se trata, por tanto, de un nuevo tipo arquitectónico, una arquitectura híbrida con unas características específicas y replicables que integra en sí misma una triple naturaleza; objetual, paisajística e infraestructural. Una arquitectura que hace del ‘entre’ su seña de identidad, del ‘limite’ su localización ideal y del ‘recorrido’ su mayor potencial.
An architecture that makes its hallmark from the ‘between’, its ideal location from the ‘limit’ and its greatest potential from the journey. 4

The project is based on some of the Pop-art principles that emphasize change, movement and originality.

Como en la caja escénica de un teatro, a través del cambio de altura de plataformas y forjados, se plantean diferentes escenarios que varían la percepción de las obras.
The project proposes the creation of a changeable museum, where not only the exhibitions change, but also the way to see it. The system is the same as in the theater’s scenic space, through the change of platforms and ceilings.

Elorza, César Jiménez de Tejada, Carlos García Fdez Architecture/Private Se planteaba la creación de viviendas en un solar con un yacimiento romano en sus cimientos y cercano al centro histórico de Catania. Propongo la creación de un edificio en altura, concebido para ser recorrido. Se propone conocer la ciudad en su dimensión vertical, desde sus raíces que nacen de la cultura roma(las ruinas) ascendiendo hasta una visión completa de la ciudad actual y su entorno, con el volcán Etna como fondo escénico. La vivienda de esta forma se dispone en rampa, concibiendo la vida cotidiana en tres estados: el primer estado expuesto a la sociedad, que conformarían las áreas comunes; un segundo estado entre lo social y lo particular, que conforman las estancias de día; y un último estado más privado que conforma las estancias de noche. We were proposed to design dwellings over an ancient Roman ruins and close to the historic center of Catania. I propose the creation of a building in height, designed to be traveled. It proposes to know the city in its verticalaxis, from its roots, the Roman culture, to the top from where you can see the city as it is today and its surroundings, with the Etna volcano as the background. The dwellings aredistributed alonsg a ramp, conceiving the daily life as three levels: the first more public, that would hosts the common areas, the second between the public and the private, houses the living rooms; and the last one design for the private spaces like the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen.

The Campillo lagoon is a man-made enviroment closer to the urban centers of Arganda and Rivas Vaciamadrid, on the outskirts of Madrid. The environment has been design as an area for enjoyment with different hiking trails, lookouts, benches and picnic areas located alongside the shore.

Se plantea la creación de un edificio puente que conecte un islote estratégicamente situado con vistas 360 grados del entorn, con recorrido actual. Como un brazo bajo el que se desarrolla el centro de remo casi como flotando sobre el agua, y adaptado a la forma orgánica de estos sinuosos caminos.
The project propose the design of a bridge-building that will connect the current path wtih a strategically-located island, from where you can see 360 degree views of the landscape. gani
The rowing center is located underneath, al most like floating on the water. It adopts the orc form of these sinuous roads.

Proponemos la creación de un funicular propulsado por el propio caminar del ser humano, con un sistema parecido a una rueda de hámster. Éste debería cumplir que fuera liviano y de fácil movimiento, para su correcto funcionamiento; para ello a través de un sistema de poleas y cadenas parecido al empleado en una bicicleta, movemos el cilindro de caras circulares de fibra de aluminio cuyas generatrices y lados están hechas a través de poliuretano.

El movimiento en el teleférico se asemeja al empleado en las bicicletas a base de discos y cadenas. Para ello se emplearían dos discos, dispuestos colinealmente, uno en el centro de la rueda de fibra de carbono y el sucesivo a la altura del cable. Este sistema no solo garantiza el movimiento de la cabina sino que a su vez conlleva en sí mismo el sistema portante, a través de unos tubos estructurales que rodean la cabina desde un lateral hasta el opuesto. We propose the creation of a funicular propelled by the human’s own walking, with a system similar to a hamster wheel. This should be light-weight and easy to move for its correct operation. A system of pulleys and chains will move the cylinder of circular faces of aluminum fiber whose generatrix and sides are made of polyurethane. The movement on the cable car is similar to the one used on the bycicles with discs and chains. To do this, two discs collinearly disposed, would be placed one in the center of the carbon fiber wheel and the other one at the height of the cable. This system not only guarantees the movement of the cabin, but also the supporting system itself, through structural tubes that surround the cabin fro m one side to another,
Al caminar se acciona el movimiento de la primera rueda, el cual es transmitido a través de la cadena a su contigua. Ésta, a través de su propio giro, se a lo largo del desplazaría cable, tras ladando de esta forma al conjunto.
