As part of non-verbal communication, eye contact is essential to establish a connection between people while a conversation is taking place. When talking to other people we do not remain fixated on the exact same spot for any length of time. Our eyes move around depending on what we are thinking and talking about. There is a reason behind our eye movements that is strictly connected to our thoughts. To create a visual “map” of our eye movement I interviewed a few people asking personal questions and recorded the interview.Depending on the eye direction, lines were drawn on their faces to demonstrate we look at specific places when talking about different things. In the following pages you can see 4 different questions that I asked and their “eye movement map” answering the questions. The result is interesting to look at as we are not aware of our eyes moving when talking.

Tell me about your favorite childhood memory

'That is a big ask, my favourite childhood memory... ok yeah as a probably a holiday memory, this is quite a long story we were in Australia this one time and I looked a lot like Harry Potter when I was a kid. We were watching the fire works in Sydney for new years eve and at one point there was an enormous crowd stretched out in this garden area beside Sydney Harbour and I stood up wearing my Harry Potter glasses looking very much like the boy wizard. I was instantly mistaken for Daniel Radcliffe the guy from Harry Potter and everyone was quite drunk, it was quite late in the evening, every one around us was getting quite wasted and yeah basically the news spread that Daniel Radcliffe was in the crowd. I was about ten at this time and suddenly I was playing Frisbee with my brother who was a bit further over, across the crowd and suddenly people were just standing up chanting “Go Harry! GoHarry! Go Harry! ' Giffard
