English Discoveries One way to learn English. The Secretary of education of Bogotá has been working on the bilingual program through different strategies; one of them is the installation of English Discoveries software in many public institutions. In order to continue the secretary´s purpose, Autonoma University has been working with this software to strength the student´s communication skills in English learning. English Discoveries is a full immersion, multilingual language learning program to all individual learning styles. It is divided in three levels: basic, intermediate and advanced. This program offers the opportunity to study in depth, in a fun and effective all sections that the study of a language implies: grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and oral and written expression. The advantage of multimedia systems is the possibility of listening to English in everyday situations and to express themselves and record the voice to correct any errors in pronunciation.
Learn and Enjoy
The Executive is an additional module aimed towards businesses. It is very useful to business purposes at international level. It has specific job situations with glossaries to different careers such as: marketing, law, human resources, finances, etc. This is an important tool to Autonoma University students. How do we work with English Discoveries? About once a month, each group has a lab section guided by the teacher according to group´s needs. Students have the possibility of checking their language progress and teacher, too. They have the possibility to improve their speaking and listening skills in a variety of formats, including real life dialogues, situations tests and quizzes. Teacher: Sandra Jaramillo
