“THE GOAL IS NOT TO BE BETTER THAN THE OTHER MAN BUT YOUR PREVIOUS SELF.” The famous sentence pronounced by the current Dalai Lama became a well-known adage for the way we should live our everyday life: to focus on our continuous improvement. As Dalai Lama XIV knows, self-improvement is connected to the way we feel about ourselves which, in turn, makes the world around us a shinier place.
MY BEST SELF And this is why at Critical TechWorks we’re taking a step forward on our selfdevelopment program and launching the “My Best Self Project”. Although the name explains the concept by itself, it’s important to note that the main objective is to establish the idea that there’s no better project under development than ourselves.

THREE AXLES Relationships: whether with colleagues, friends, or family - how employees can improve relationships at work that need that extra boost, and further develop those that are already good. “What can I do to improve this relationship?” should be the key question that everyone should ask at all times. This will certainly have a positive impact on our well being.
Growth: how can employees improve their soft and technical skills and understanding that personal growth should be an endless journey. Impact: how can everyone be their best self to the world around and make sure that we have a positive impact on other people’s lives. Everyone can have an impact on their own team, in a 1-1 conversation with a colleague or in the surrounding community.
SELF Understand that although “self” is one of the words of the program, no one have to walk this path by their self. Happiness team will always be presente to help everyone with what should be their life’s main quest. Still on that note, and knowing that there might be a stigma around this topic, realize that self-development is not selfish conduct – on the contrary, if someone’s working towards the best version of their self, he or she will always deliver better work, feedback, and provide the necessary
help to the people who may need it. In contrast, if we don’t feel good in our skin, it will be harder to help those in need, we will hardly grow, and we’ll become more self-centered. Employees should also surround themselves with people who believe and support them. “We understand that every Best Self journey is different and we’re here to bring tailor-made help to every single one who wants to create work/life harmony and live a life they love.”
