The Association Logo The IIDA logo is the primary logo to communicate the IIDA brand. It should not be modified and works most effectively when used consistently. Do not place the logo too close to the document edge, other logos, or design elements. It’s that simple.

IIDA Chapter Logo We provide all chapters — and their associated city and campus centers — with an official logo to use on all communications. It’s important to make sure the logo is clear and legible, especially when introducing the IIDA brand and your chapter to new audiences. City and campus center collateral must spell out the full chapter name they are affiliated with in the copy. No need to use two logos!

Regional Symbol A regional symbol is an image that you may have created that resonates with your community. If you have a regional symbol that’s currently being used, it should never appear larger or more prominent than the IIDA chapter logo. In fact, we’ve made the new IIDA logo so easy to use that it’s the only logo your chapter truly needs. However, if you choose, you may integrate your regional symbol within the new system.

Color Palette To make things easier, we’ve eliminated the color palette — except for Advocacy green. All you have to remember is that the logo must be used in black or white. Accent colors can be pulled from the designs’ accompanying photo or graphic. Following this guideline creates a win-win that allows your chapter to be an individual while showcasing that you’re part of the IIDA community.

THE FULL CHAPTER, CITY, OR CAMPUS CENTER NAME ALWAYS APPEARS NEXT TO THE AVATAR, SO THERE’S NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT FOLLOWERS CONFUSING YOUR ACCOUNT WITH ANOTHER IIDA ACCOUNT.
Social Media To maintain a strong brand presence on social networks, only the association logo can be used for profile images. Each chapter has been supplied up to four social media profile images. White on black, black on white, white on textured background, and the logo on a chapter supplied image.

Standard Fonts You’ll use only five font families for all IIDA materials: Gotham, DIN, and Hoefler for print; Helvetica Neue and Arial for web. Use these typefaces for all headlines and body copy — it’s that easy. The official order of font preference is as follows: PRINT
GOTHAM: IIDA’s first choice for fonts. It can be used for body copy on stationary, ads, or when large blocks of text are used, as well as headlines of varying weights. The font is a sans serif, modern, and professional yet unpretentious.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 123459790!@#$%&
DIN: This is your secondary typeface option for headlines and display font for collateral at varying weights. The font is sans serif, current, and futuristic.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 123459790!@#$%&
HOEFLER: We recommend Hoefler be used as an alternate typeface for body copy on advertisements or when large blocks of text are used.
WEB
HELVETICA NEUE: If you’re using a digital application or writing for the web, a standard web font is required. Use this font first for emails, websites, and other digital applications.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 123459790!@#$%&
ARIAL: As your secondary typeface option for digital applications, you may write your headlines and display font for collateral at varying weights with Arial.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 123459790!@#$%& These fonts are available for both PCs and Macs. If you don’t own (or want to purchase) the fonts above, Helvetica Neue and Arial should be used.
