For three decades, Karen Donatelli Cake Designs has specialized in creating beautiful, delicious, custom and specialty desserts. Karen and her team diligently work to make each cake, pastry and dessert a renowned piece of culinary art. The masterfully crafted delicacies blend eye-popping design with superb and innovative flavors. Karen started her career at 15 in a small hometown bakery. She then apprenticed at the 5 star Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida before studying pastry at the Culinary Institute of America. Karen opened the bakery and café in 2012 in downtown Asheville, featuring a daily bakery case with croissants (sweet and savory), brioche, specialty cakes, and pastries made from the finest ingredients.
