Celebrating Our Success: Nutcracker Night

Many things have changed for all of us in 2020, but some have stayed the same: the importance of connection, the pleasure of sharing a good story, and Pajama Press’ commitment to publishing excellent children’s literature.

We are happy to present our Fall 2020 list, with an editorial direction honed for the needs of the times. Embrace meditative wonder in the picture books A World of Mindfulness, A Quiet Girl, and Raven, Rabbit, Deer. Celebrate education with Teaching Mrs. Muddle and The Library Bus. Share the enthusiasm of a preschooler with two books in our newly branded Toddler Tough format: Snow Days and Shape Up, Construction Trucks!. Be warmed by a good-news animal conservation tale in A Family for Faru. And lose yourself in a good story with the middle-grade novels Harvey Holds His Own and Duck Days.

Our staff remain upbeat while working remotely and finding creative solutions as the market adapts almost daily. I love my team of talented professionals and would like to acknowledge the work of Art Director Rebecca Bender, Rights Manager Catherine Mitchell, Associate Editor Erin Alladin, Sales & Marketing Manager Laura Bowman, Administrator Hayley Chrisp, and Marketing Assistant and Digital Content Specialist Matt Hodder. Together, we will continue to produce books of high value for children and the parents, teachers, and librarians who nurture them.
