Priscilla Heine
BUOYANT ABANDON | Solo Exhibition
SouthernVermont Arts Center
Manchester,VT
February 11 - May 7, 2023
Priscilla Heine's abstract paintings and sculptures are exuberant with lush and electric poetry. While unspiraling peace and pleasure, Heine engages in a visual language that is flexible yet complex, heralding an irreverent beauty. Through the use of dynamic calligraphy, rich pigments, organic figuration and layers of personal metaphor, this visual dialogue is lyrical while possessing an uncanny humor. It bends the corners of space with barely identifiable references, creating and embracing connectivity. The power of the whole is always at hand as Heine doesn't so much interpret the world around her as she absorbs it, bringing it to life with swashbuckling energy and reverence.
