HISTORY OF INNOVATION Crown College began as a small Bible College in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1916. For over 100 years, Crown has focused on preparing students to live out their faith in the world. Now located 40 minutes west of the Twin Cities, Crown offers on-campus, online, and graduate degree programs. The community supports 16 NCAA Division III athletic teams and summer outreach programs around the globe. Though a lot has changed, the dedication to helping students grow in their faith has not. The institution’s programs deeply integrate a Christian worldview into every class, helping students to become all that God desires for them to be. Crown looks forward to the next 100 years through continued innovation in Christian higher education.

BOARD APPOINTS DR. ANDREW DENTON AS 17TH PRESIDENT In Spring of 2020, President Joel Wiggins informed the Crown Community that he would not be seeking another term and that he would be retiring in June 2021, so that he and his wife could be closer to their family. The Board of Trustees formed a Search Committee and began a search in early Summer. In March of 2021, the Board of Trustees named Dr. Andrew Denton as the President Elect. He began his tenure in July. Dr. Denton accepted the position of president of Crown College after more than 20 years in Christian higher education, including fifteen years in executive leadership. He earned the PhD in Higher Education Administration from St. Louis University and is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God Fellowship. His roles in Enrollment, University Relations, and Administration have spanned four institutions and have prepared him to lead Crown College into a new chapter while remaining deeply committed to quality higher education within the context of an authentic Christian faith.

Dr. Denton writes: I see tremendous opportunities ahead and believe that with the Lord’s help, Crown College will soar in this season. We have outstanding faculty and staff committed to integrating learning and faith in an environment that empowers and equips students to excel in their calling in any field. We are in a season of growing the school by investing in facilities, new programs, adding three new academic deans, forming innovative partnerships with churches and organizations, elevating our premier online programs, joining the NCCAA, hiring a new athletic director, and launching our new honors program. With inquiries, applications, and deposits ahead of last year’s pace, our new enrollment leader will have the opportunity to build upon the momentum we are experiencing.

CROWN + BEYOND ON-CAMPUS

HYBRID LOCATIONS

The School of Arts and Science allows students to attend a traditional program on the beautiful campus in Minnesota. The focus extends beyond the roots in Bible training. Today, students gain a Biblical foundation in over forty programs.

Both undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered in the School of Online Studies and Graduate Studies. Most of these programs are 100% online and provide students with a flexible, practical, affordable Christian educational experience.

Hybrid locations in Nebraska and Atlanta provide the Crown online experience with a physical site, which offers a weekly in-class meeting — giving students the best of both worlds in their hometown.

EARLY COLLEGE Students can earn college credit in high school through the state's PSEO (Post Secondary Education Options) program or, more generally, through Crown's dual enrollment options. These programs include in-person, online, hybrid, private school, and homeschool options.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Crown has developed training institutes for non-degree-seeking students who wish to further develop their skills such as Crown Ministry Training Institute (CMTI). There are currently four institutes with more options coming.

PARTNERSHIPS Crown has more than eighteen partnerships with other academic institutions, churches, gap year programs, professional development agencies, and more. These partnerships extend Crown's reach into communities across the United States.
