∞ Design Brief:
Design a salt and pepper shaker set with a unique method of use
Observation
- Observe the demographics of the users - Observe how ordinary shakers are used - Observe the settings in which shakers are used - Observe condiment dispensers commonly found on dinner tables - Observe whether the kinds of shakers on the market comply with ergonomic principles
Problems
Not ergonomic
Almost all shakers are used in the same way
People with flabby arms may feel uncomfortable with the shaking motion
Some opaque designs make it hard to determine how much salt or pepper is left
Sometimes when people are unfamiliar with the use of a shaker, spillage may result
Design Target Design a shaker set that is both elegant and fun to use

How is perfume sprayed ? VENTURI EFFECT
SPRAY OF AIR AND PERFUME MIXTURE
PLUNGER
AIR BEING PUSHED OUT OF HOLE BY PLUNGER
It works based on " Bernoulli principle". Which states that as velocity increases pressure decreases. Just observe the above image. As we force air through nozzle, the upper portion of perfume bottle becomes low pressured
DROP IN AIR PRESSURE CAUSES PERFUME TO BE PUSHED UP INTO TUBE
region when compared with pressure in bottle. So in order to compensate this inbalance this is replaced by fluid in perfume bottle as shown in figure. This events are observed in our day to day lives.
Experiment WHAT WE NEED a straw some pepper & salt a container scissors air blower
WHAT TO DO - cut the straw into two halves - connect one of half straw to air blower - put some pepper or salt into container - put the other straw into container, and immerse one end into pepper/salt - use straw connected to air blower to blow accross the top of other straw

The outer cap is made of injection molded plastic forged in an electroformed mold. The exterior is burnished for a hairline polished effect.
The inner cap is made of injection molded thermoplastic resins such as polypropylene. The interior is threaded so it can be screwed onto the container. And it also has child resistant cap feature so that outer cap can rotate freely when it fixed with the container. The spring keeps the outer cap from coming into direct contact with the inner cap

The container is made of transparent glass, and the upper rim is threaded for the inner cap

Ideation
The solar panel converts sunlight into electricity, powering the temperature controller Temperature control knob The inner surface is polished to increase heat reflectivity Latch
Seal The case is made of stainless steel
Pipe for connecting the exhaust pipe to the oven. The internal pipe is made of PTFE, the middle layer is composed of fiberglass insulator, and the outer shell is made of waterproof rubber A two position three-way magnetic valve connects to the end of the exhaust pipe. When the oven reaches a set temperature, it diverts the exhaust to another vent.

Design brief: To design a product that subconsciously increases interpersonal interaction
Thinking back to an age when technology wasn't quite so prevalent, we remember a time when people were able to build relationships with nothing more than sharing a pot of tea and trading kind words. Now, the tangible distances have become smaller, but the intangible gap between individuals has grown larger. "Togetherness" is a modern necessity that people always ignore, as the more feeling of closeness can make a warmer and happier world. Let us use the power of design to raise the temperatures of our life, and gives us the strength to discover the surprises and creations of life.
Why does the psychological distance between people keep widening?
Observation
- Observe what people do when they aregath ered togeth - Observe how people interact with each other - Observe the daily routines of people today - Observe the places where people gather
Problems
- The time spent using smartphones and tablets is increasing - The functionality of smart products keeps growing, and the things they can do keep increasing in number - When bored, the first thing we think of is to use a smart product to kill time - Practically everyone has a smart product - Even when friends get together, they often take out and use their smart products - Even at this moment you may be looking at a screen
