If you have any medical condition that may affect your ability to safely jump on a trampoline, you must consult a doctor 1st and write down all the details on your form.
If you have a pre-existing injury or disability we may require you to bring a signed doctor’s note to confirm it is safe for you to participate in the session. If you have Down Syndrome – we require a signed doctor’s note to confirm participation for each visit. Everyone taking part in this session will need to fill in and sign a participant consent form. The form asks about your medical conditions and has a list of the rules. You may like some help from a parent or carer to fill in the form.
Saturday 17 Sponsored Walk and Picnic After the walk we will be enjoying a picnic so bring along some food and drink, or you could buy something from the café. Cost - free (bring some money if you want to buy thi f th fé) September Some of us are going to walk in fancy dress, so if you would like to dress up too that would be great! Out and About is teaming up with our Family and Advocacy Support Service to go on a fun walk around Crystal Palace Park. 2 If you would like to collect some sponsors and raise money for Croydon Mencap, please ask Emily for a sponsor pack and for more information.

Tai Chi at Cherry Hub Come along to the Cherry Hub with us to try some Tai Chi. Professional instructor Matt Yule will teach us some simple, fun and relaxing moves. The session is accessible and you can still join in if you need to sit. Carers are welcome as well as members at this session. There is plenty of parking at Cherry Hub as well as lots of buses. We will be attending a Christmas lights show with a difference this evening, based in beautiful woodland in Shirley with magical movie images and stories! After the show we will take a walk to the famous Pinewood Close nearby to see all the wonderful lights the residents put on for charity. If you attend an activity with your own PA, they are responsible for your safety and wellbeing, and it is their duty to support you throughout the activity.
If you require 1 to 1 support you need to attend the activity with your own Personal Assistant. Additional charges will apply if your PA occupies a seat in a Croydon Mencap vehicle or hired vehicle, and if an entrance fee/ticket is payable.

This new service can support you with everyday activities. We will help you to develop new skills and become more independent. Our fully trained and friendly staff can support you with You can be supported with these things out and about in Croydon or at home. At the moment we are not able to support with personal care. Each session is a minimum of 2 hours and costs £25 per hour. If you need to be supported by more than 1 person, we can look at organising this for you. You can pay for this support using your direct payments. for adults with a learning disability
