Start at the beautiful Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the ‘Golden Pavilion’ before visiting Ryoanji Temple, known for its Japanese garden. Next, see the Kiyomizu Temple which makes up part of Kyoto’s Historical Monuments of Ancient Kyoto UNESCO World Heritage Site. DAY 4: TOKYO - YUDANAKA Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Yudanaka in the morning. On arrival, drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and stop for lunch en-route. Home of the famous Japanese Snow Monkeys, where you will walk through the forested valley. From the bus park you will walk 30 minutes along snowy paths on an incline, to the main pool where the monkeys bathe. Accustomed to humans, the monkeys can be observed from very close and almost completely ignore their human guests.
