2026 SMALL-SHIP EXPEDITION CRUISES

A Message from Cedar Swan, CEO of Adventure Canada

For over three decades, Adventure Canada has been more than a name— it’s been a promise. A promise of adventure, discovery, and deep connection—with nature, with culture, and with each other. From humble beginnings as a small, family-owned Canadian company, we’ve grown into something much greater, shaped by challenges, strengthened by experience, and enriched by the trust and loyalty of you—our treasured guests.

Every journey we’ve taken has been made richer by the bonds we’ve formed: with the communities we visit, the landscapes that inspire us, and the vibrant community we’ve built with you. Together, we’ve created a legacy of meaningful travel that continues to guide us forward.

As we embark on an exciting new chapter in 2026, I’m thrilled to share some big news: this year, we’re introducing two ships new to Adventure Canada for our northern sailing season. Meet the Ocean Nova an intimate, inviting vessel—and the Exploris One, a refined and elegant platform. Each offers unique price points and amenities, yet both stay true to the heart of the Adventure Canada experience: authentic adventure, immersive nature and wildlife encounters, enlightening learning opportunities, and an unwavering commitment to community and culture.

Of course, sustainability, safety, and service remain at the core of what we do. And yes—fun, plenty of it. You

choose the vessel and the trip; we’ll take care of the rest. Visit our website to explore these new ships and find the perfect journey for you.

We know who we are: curators of transformative experiences that illuminate the beauty and wonder of our world. We know what we do: bring intrepid voyagers to the edges of the map, crafting moments that resonate deep within the soul. Most importantly, we know how to do it—with respect for the environment, genuine care for the communities we visit, and a passion for sharing the joy of discovery.

Every departure, every landing, every story shared over dinner or beneath the northern lights—these are the brushstrokes of Adventure Canada’s character. Your dreams, curiosity, and unquenchable thirst for authentic experiences have been our compass, guiding us toward new horizons.

In 2026, we’ll continue this journey together, not just as travellers, but as pioneers of a movement that defines coastal adventure travel in Canada and beyond.

If you are a past traveller with us, thank you for being part of our story. If you have not yet joined one of our journeys, it's time to be written into the plot!

Some of the photos in this brochure were taken with telephoto (zoom) lenses and may appear closer to wildlife, ice, or archaeological artefacts than we really were. We always keep a safe distance and follow mandated regulations.

Best Cruise Line for Families

In Canada, we travel extensively through the Inuit homelands of Nunavut, Nunavik, and Nunatsiavut, as well as those of Innu, Beothuk, Mi’kmaq, HuronWendat, Abenaki, Wolastoqiyik, and Haida nations. We also visit Indigenous homelands around the world, including in what are today called Greenland, Costa Rica, Panama, Patagonia, Ecuador, and Tanzania.

We are grateful to the ancestors who cared for these areas and for the land defenders, water protectors, and guardians who continue to safeguard the ecosystems, historical sites, and spiritual places that we are privileged to visit.

It’s All About Connecting

Eclipse River, Torngat Mountains National Park, Labrador

At Adventure Canada, we have one big mission: to connect you—to the wonders of nature, rare wildlife, jaw-dropping landscapes, local cultures (and their delicious food), history, music, science, and, most importantly, each other.

We do it all with heart, humanity, and a hefty dose of hope.

So, grab your metaphorical backpack and link arms with us. Together, we’ll explore the places you’ve dreamed of. People say it’s transformational. Perhaps it will be for you.

Travel with Purpose

Ramah Bay, Torngat Mountains National Park, Labrador

Travel isn’t just about snapping photos and buying souvenirs. It’s about going deeper. Travel with purpose: to explore, learn, connect, and grow. Travel with yearning: for adventure, joy, fulfillment, and authenticity. Travel with respect: for nature, cultures, communities, and yourself.

When you travel with us, you’re not just a tourist— you’re a curious adventurer who refuses to let the world grow any smaller. So pack your bags and your biggest dreams—we’ve got a lot of ground (and water) to cover together.

Restore Yourself with Nature

We call it Vitamin N—“N” for nature—and trust us, it’s exactly what the doctor ordered. On an Adventure Canada expedition, you’ll get a double dose of fresh air and awe, guaranteed to leave you feeling recharged and ridiculously alive.

Imagine this: you’re sitting on a 10,000-year-old tundra boulder, left behind by a glacier with impeccable timing. The silence is so loud it’s almost a symphony. The vastness is humbling. And suddenly, you feel it— that deep, heart-squeezing connection to the world around you.

Here, away from all the noise of your inbox and to-do list, nature does what it does best: it heals, restores, and inspires. Welcome to the ultimate reboot.

Wildlife Encounters

©Liz Carlson
Atlantic puffins in Iceland

An eye-to-eye moment with a wild creature in its natural habitat is pure magic—a privilege that stirs your soul and shifts your perspective. It’s not just about the thrill of the sighting but about finding a deeper connection to the wild and carrying that inspiration home.

Wildlife spotting is often a highlight of our expeditions, but the untamed places we explore mean animals can be elusive and unpredictable. Our expert guides take you where sightings are most likely, but luck is always a factor. Colonial seabirds may be reliable, but polar bears, muskoxen, walrus, and beluga require some good fortune and patience.

When wildlife appears, we’ll get you as close as possible. We’ll even alter the ship’s course if necessary. But we always keep a safe and respectful distance. After all, it’s their home and we are the visitors.

A single moment shared with a wild animal can leave a lasting imprint, like a tattoo on the soul. It’s these fleeting, extraordinary experiences that remind us we’re part of something much bigger and we share some responsibility.

Cross-Cultural Connections

Building a Mi'kmaq Canoe, Miawpukek, Newfoundland

At Adventure Canada, our journeys aren’t just about where you go—they’re about who you meet along the way. Wherever we travel, local culture bearers join us as part of the expedition team. Inuit, Scottish, Faroese, Icelandic, Newfoundlanders, or Labradorians—these incredible individuals are here to help you dive deeper into the heart of their cultures.

Sure, you’ll experience Inuit throat-singing and drum dancing, Scottish haggis and Highland dancing, but that’s just the beginning. The real magic happens when these moments turn into genuine connections. It’s not about checking off a list; it’s about opening your heart and mind to new perspectives. Through storytelling, shared meals, and a few good laughs, you’ll leave with more than memories. You’ll leave with new friends and a fresh lens for seeing the world.

Lifelong Learning with Our Expedition Team

Aleqa Hammond, former Prime Minister of Greenland, talks about Greenland politics in nature's classroom on Disko Island.

Forget boring lectures and stuffy textbooks—our expeditions are like stepping into the coolest classroom on Earth.

Led by our expedition team of local legends and quirky experts, every day is an opportunity to nerd out on topics that make your brain tingle. Learn about the effects of climate change on Arctic marine life, unravel the mysteries of Scottish folklore, sing along with rousing sea shanties, test your ability to differentiate

between colourful lies and truth while learning more about the dialects of Newfoundland and Labrador, or get hands-on with creative activities like printmaking or traditional Inuit beading.

Think of it as school with better snacks, more laughter, and a curriculum designed by Mother Nature herself. By the end, you won’t just feel smarter—you’ll feel more connected to the world around you.

Expeditions for Families

Family travel isn’t just a vacation—it’s a backstage pass to magic. Whether you’re laughing with siblings, exploring with parents, or swapping stories with your kids, these journeys bring everyone closer. Imagine hiking together, spotting wildlife, or sharing a laugh over who packed way too many socks. With

Adventure Canada, family time means slowing down, breathing deeply, and creating stories you’ll tell around the holiday table for decades.

Bonus points for the fact that these adventures make you look like the coolest family ever.

Back in 1987, two brothers and a buddy had a wild idea: take people to the parts of the world where the maps have more blank space than names. Armed with a zany spirit and a love for adventure, they created a travel company like no other.

Fast forward a few decades, and the Swan family is still at the helm—now with the next generation steering the ship. What’s changed? Not much, except maybe the WiFi. What’s stayed the same? A passion for connecting people with the world’s most extraordinary places and each other.

THE THREE S’S

Safety, Service, and Sustainability

At Adventure Canada, every expedition is guided by our unwavering commitment to safety, service, and sustainability—overarching values that define our business.

Adventure may be our name but “safely” is how we do it. Your well-being is always our top priority, and we’re experts at balancing thrilling experiences with meticulous care.

Service? We’ve got that covered too. We’re here to make your trip unforgettable, and if there’s something on your mind, we’ll move mountains (or at least icebergs) to make it right

The pursuit of sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Adventure Canada. We're deeply aware that our business— like all businesses— impacts the world around us. And that we have the potential to do good.

Our approach to sustainability begins with a harshly self-honest assessment of our impacts. Our ships and planes contribute to climate change. Our operations generate waste, and we know tourism can leave footprints on local cultures and communities in ways we might not intend. And the list goes on. But awareness is just the first step—action is where it counts.

We approach sustainability with a two-fold mission: first, to mitigate or eliminate harm we might cause,

and second, to maximize the positive changes we can create along the way.

We will be carbon-neutral by 2030. To get there we are investing in more efficient ships and are making it easy for our guests to offset the climate impacts of their time with us. On our primary ships, we have eliminated single-use plastics, aggressively reduced our waste generation, adjusted our meal plans to reduce both carbon and waste impacts, and implemented a “green” purchasing program and tools—to name a few of our improvements

Sustainability isn’t just about protecting the planet— it’s about people, too. For the communities we visit, it’s about building trust, fostering mutual respect, and doing our best to ensure that every community thrives long after we’ve set sail. It’s about fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for our guests and team members. And, it’s about doing our part to make sure that expedition travel is accessible to everyone regardless of their demographic identity.

For us, environmental integrity isn’t a checkbox; it’s a lifelong responsibility and a shared adventure.

Our Taste of Place program is another cornerstone of our regenerative travel efforts. It’s not just about enjoying a meal; it’s about experiencing a place through its flavours, traditions, and stories. You’ll learn about local harvest methods, meet regional producers, and taste dishes rooted in cultural heritage.

We work hand-in-hand with local partners, champion Indigenous food traditions, and contribute to local economies. Taste of Place transforms every bite into a connection—to people, to place, and to purpose.

Life Aboard and Ashore

Life aboard our ship is a delightful mix of serenity and zaniness—it all depends on your vibe and the time of day. Two things are certain: boredom doesn’t stand a chance, and you’ll discover kindred spirits to share the adventure.

Expedition life is all about adaptability, and every day offers something new. From captivating talks and hands-on workshops to trivia nights, concerts, singalongs, theme dinners, and dances, there’s never a dull moment.

When we step ashore, you choose the activity that suits you best—an energizing hike, a relaxed

beachcombing stroll, or a chance to join our photographer for some shooting tips or our ornithologist to spot feathered friends.

Of course, in the wild, nature always calls the shots. While we aim for Plan A, sometimes Mother Nature throws us a curveball and insists on Plans B or C—and that’s OK. Often, these surprises lead to moments even more magical than we imagined. Safety, comfort, and joy always come first. On an expedition, it’s the unexpected that makes it extraordinary!
