Day 1 | Saturday: VALLETTA – MALTA

Embarkation at 3 p.m. Enjoy a welcome drink and meet your crew and fellow passengers. Overnight at port.

Day 2 | Sunday: VALETTA – GOZO ISLAND, MALTA

Morning sailing to Gozo Island and swim stop at one of the Gozo’s beaches. Optional excursion at Citadel and visit of Cathedral, Lady of Ta Pinu Basilica, St. George Basilica and Cathedral Museum. Late afternoon wine tasting and return to ship. Late night departure for Syracuse and overnight at sea.

Day 3 | Monday: SYRACUSE, ITALY

Morning optional excursion to the 15,000-seated Greek theatre, the Archaeological Museum, the Temple of Apollo and the Cathedral which incorporates the remains of the Temple of Athena. Afternoon optional excursion to Sicily’s southern region and the exquisitely-preserved Noto. Late sailing to Aeolian islands.

DAY BY DAY

Day 4 | Tuesday: LIPARI, ITALY

Morning arrival in Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands on the red volcanic rock. Archaeological remains, the Castello and the 17th century Cathedral will be available for sightseeing during the morning optional excursion. Afternoon at leisure and overnight in Lipari.

Day 5 | Wednesday: VULCANO PANAREA – STROMBOLI, ITALY

Morning sailing to Vulcano Island, famous for its volcano crater and the mud baths. Afternoon sailing to Panarea. Leisure time in port. In the evening we sail back to Catania and we slowly pass by the island of Stromboli, famous for its live volcano. Overnight at sea.

Day 6 | Thursday: CATANIA, ITALY

Morning optional excursion to Etna Volcano, the highest point in Sicily and a live volcano. Lecture and tour by a resident volcanologist. Afternoon optional excursion to Catania city and overnight in port.

Day 7 | Friday: CATANIA – TAORMINA

Our optional full day excursion to Tormina features a stroll along the Corso Umberto, Duomos and the Palazzo Santo Stefano. Guided tour of the ancient Greek Theatre. Lunch break and time at leisure to explore the city. Farewell dinner onboard and return sailing to Malta.

Day 8 | Saturday: VALLETTA, MALTA

Arrival at 08:30 a.m. Disembarkation after breakfast at 9 to 10 a.m.

Itineraries can be changed at the discretion of Variety Cruises and of the Vessel’s Captain in case of adverse weather conditions - winds of 6/7 beaufort or more depending on the vessel - on port authorities not allowing a vessel to leave port or in case of other extraordinary conditions. Such itinerary changes do not automatically entitle passengers to any refunds but Variety Cruises guarantees that disembarkation of passengers shall take place at the advertised port of disembarkation on time for guests flights.
