ICE HOUSE INN – MAN UP CAR SHOW

The Ice House Inn was originally located a few miles away in Austintown. One of the unique items that drew in customers was the well-known upside down sign. When they moved to the new location in Mineral Ridge the sign incorporated the name in both formats. Upside down and right side up! LOL! Guess what? This is a laid back casual place to meet with friends and enjoy a few beverages and some very good food.

The Ice House connected with Man Up Mahoning Valley for this event. Man Up Mahoning Valley is a component program of the Mercy Health Foundation. Their efforts are aimed squarely at educating and encouraging the men and women of the Mahoning Valley to talk about prostate health and to share information on the importance of regular examinations for early detection to prevent prostate cancer from taking lives. Their message is simple: Man Up and get an annual examination!

The Ice House Inn is a regular site for bike and cruise nights bringing in a nice crowd on those nights. On this day there were muscle cars, hot rods, trucks, vintage classics and even a pair of street-driven gassers in the parking lot.

Live music, some lawn chairs and a very pleasant warm sunny day only added to the camaraderie that gearheads experience when they get together. This show was not far from home for me and I was quite happy that I had stopped to check it out! Good deal!
