One Christmas Eve and a Flock of Geese by: Andrea F. Phillips

“I get it, Lord, I get it…Thanks for becoming a man like us so you could convince us to come in from the cold …” One wintry evening somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere, as the sun slowly set on the horizon, its last rays tinting the snowy scene, one small cottage nestled in the rolling hills. Its chimney sent up a steady stream of smoke, mingling with the descending snow-flakes. Inside, by the lit hearth, sat a silver-haired woman, a Bible on her knee. It was Christmas Eve, and she read a passage about the first Christmas night. Intermittently she muttered, “I don’t understand, Lord... I don’t understand…” And again she bent over the weathered pages. Presently, laying down the holy book on a side table, stoking the fire, and adding another log, she leaned back into the leather chair and closed her eyes, her mind reconstructing the scene: a lonely stable in an Oriental prairie, a clear, cold night, a dignified man, a princely maiden, an ox and a donkey, and, in their midst, in a troth lovingly filled with fresh hay, lay a babe who was God. “Why, oh, why did You, Lord, who are the Almighty, the Creator, infinitely above your creatures, become a man like us? Wasn’t there some other way?” the good soul now asked aloud, as she looked up at the crucifix above her fireplace. Just then a noisy racket jolted her from her revelry. Looking out the window, in the waning light, she saw a flock of geese just landed in the back yard. They were obviously off-course and honked in confusion. “Those geese!” she thought with alarm, “they will freeze!” Of course, geese don’t freeze easily, but she didn’t know it. Running into her old garage, she opened the door and began waving them in. But the more she beckoned the more the frightened creatures distanced themselves from her. Finally, in frustration she exclaimed, “If only I was one of you, you foolish creatures, you would trust me, and I could save you!” It had stopped snowing. Just then the leaden clouds parted, revealing a patch of azure sky and a bright star twinkling down on the snowy earth. The woman smiled up into the night, “I get it, Lord, I get it…Thanks for becoming a man like us so you could convince us to come in from the cold …” Our Lady, we thank you for the graces we have received this year. We ask for your special blessings for 2024 as we continue to do your work. We thank everyone who has helped us in the Rosary Rally protests and pray that you receive the graces of perseverance and fortitude to strengthen you in the struggles of the coming year. May you enjoy renewed confidence in Our Lady of Fatima’s promise, “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph!”

Dedicated Group Holds Two Rallies in Kansas and Missouri Rally Captain Francis and TFP-ANF friends and supporters held a Rosary Rally honoring a police officer killed in the line of duty and another rally supporting a school district that prevented a biological male from using the girl’s restroom. The group held the police rally prior to a procession honoring Jonah Oswald of the Fairway (Kansas) Police Department. Francis said they brought a police banner, signs and St. Michael medals to the rally and handed out the medals to grateful mourners. “It was a good opportunity to encourage public opinion whenever they have a good reaction,” he said.

The second rally supported the Platte City (Missouri) School District, which told the male he needed to use a private restroom. Although the male protested, school administration wouldn’t reverse their decision. Francis said, “Needless to say, the ACLU is suing the district. The purpose of our rally was to encourage the school district to remain firm in the face of the lawsuit.”

Blasphemy is Not Free Speech: Rosary Warriors Protest Satanic Rock Band

BL2312

Rosary Rally warriors gathered in The Woodlands, Texas, to protest a performance by overtly Satanic rock band Ghost. Although many concertgoers dressed in black mocked the rally participants and hailed the devil, the 70 prayer warriors remained steadfast. They prayed the rosary, had a solemn crowning of Our Lady and sang

hymns accompanied by the bagpipes. Rally participant Cesar said, “It was a beautiful, solemn act leaving all filled with reassurance and great hope. We had a surprising amount of support from the cars passing by. When we chanted the Divine Praises, there was non-stop honking from the cars.” Rally participant Shelley said, “We prayed reparations to the Holy Eucharist, and testified to our faith in Jesus and his Church. Some concertgoers mocked us, but several paused and reflected. We pray that some of these lost sheep will return to God’s flock.” We encourage you to host a Rosary Rally in your town. TFP-ANF Supporters Say “NO” Against LGBTQ History Month Miami-Dade School Board members rejected a proclamation that would have recognized October as “LGBTQ history month” in the latest example of Florida’s parental rights laws influencing public education. The decision illustrates how local education policy has changed since 2021, when the school board last acknowledged LGBTQ history month. Sergio and Frank were among the many TFP-ANF friends and supporters who were in attendance at the meeting, and both got to speak. Frank said, “I dedicated all my life to defending the moral values of Christian Civilization, especially the family. I am here for the defense of the institution of the family: The family is a sacred institution. We must make a u-turn and go back to the values we lost, including the Natural Law. We must return to order.”

Others speaking out in protest said LGBTQ history month would go against their religious beliefs and indoctrinate students by speaking about topics inappropriate for young people. They also emphasized that God and Jesus should be brought back into classrooms.

Protesting Doubly Blasphemous Drag Queen Show TFP-ANF friends and supporters held a Rosary Rally of Reparation outside of Crazy Aunt Helen’s American Comfort Food restaurant in Washington, D.C., to protest a blasphemous drag queen show. The event was being called a “Gospel Drag show” and featured a menu with item names that openly mocked Christianity. Rally participant Preston said, “They are putting on not just a drag show but they are juxtaposing that with what they call ‘gospel’ so it makes it doubly

offensive and blasphemous. We know that what they are doing is awful. We are here to pray in reparation to God and his Blessed Mother for the sins and the offenses that are being committed inside this restaurant.” God and Our Lady need your help too! If you hear about a drag queen event in your area, please consider hosting your own peaceful Rosary Rally.
