In this homecoming special section, the Crusader features the 2013 homecoming candidates on their own magazine covers. Meet the Top 10 candidates voted on by the student body as they show their flair on the following covers, created especially to show the talents and personalities of the 2013 SCCC homecoming candidates.
Giovanna Baca
Outgoing Students Secrets of college success
Giovanna is a sophomore from Liberal who is representing the Saintsations Dance Team. Her parents are Jesus and Blanca Baca. She is currently studying pre-med at SCCC/ATS and is transferring to Wichita State to major in biology and pursue a medical career. She enjoys cookouts, workouts, fishing, swimming, spending time with her family and just having a good time. Described in three words she is optimistic, funny and hardworking.
Jose Garcia
Jose, also know as “Pepe,” is a sophomore at SCCC/ATS from Liberal who is majoring in criminal justice and is the representative for the Hispanic-American Leadership Organization on campus. His parents are Jose and Beatriz Garcia. He enjoys spending his free time running, watching action movies and woodworking. Described in three words, he is outgoing, hardworking and friendly. His future plans are to transfer to Wichita State University when he is finished at Seward.

Bradley
Kinser Bradley Kinser is a freshman who is representing Campus Messengers for Christ. His parents are Darrin and Angela Kinser. His hometown is Turpin, Okla. He currently does not know what he wants to major in, but possibly business management. His future plans consist of going to a Bible college then possibly finishing at OSU, and continuing to follow on the path the Lord has for him. Other activities and hobbies he is involved in are FCA, sports, watching the NBA’s Thunder, going to the movies, working out, coaching younger kids, telling jokes, and being around people. Described in three words he is caring, competitive and friendly.

Selene Perez is a sophomore who represents Phi Theta Kappa. Her parents are Lucina and Dago Perez. Her hometown is Liberal. She is currently majoring in nursing and plans to go to Wichita State in the future. Her hobbies include running, swimming, Netflix, and being with friends. Three words that describe her are caring, predictable and enthusiastic.

Genesis Enriquez Representing SGA, this sophomore is a business administration major. Genesis is described by his friends as friendly, athletic and shy. Enriquez grew up in Vilas, Colo. and is the son of Carlos and Laura Cano. His hobbies include basketball, running, watching movies and hanging out with friends. Genesis is on the Dean’s Honor Roll and plans on continuing his education at Wichita State University next year. He has plans to become a talent agent for famous athletes in the future.

René Boaldin Representing the cheer squad, this sophomore is a business management major. René enjoys being outdoors and is frequently caught fishing, hunting and running. She hails from Elkhart and is the daughter of Kent and Diana Boaldin. René is a Presidential Scholar and a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Kappa Beta Delta. She describes herself as being outgoing, athletic and ornery. Her hobbies include sports, drawing, socializing and having fun pulling pranks. She plans on owning a hair salon.

Genesis ENRIQUEZ He makes cents in where to spend the dollar. René BOALDIN She manages every dollar spent.
After Blanca’s last year at SCCC/ATS, she plans to move on to Oklahoma University where she will study child psychiatry. She is the daughter of William and Cristina Richard. Blanca is representing Hispanic-American Leadership Organization, but is also involved in cheerleading, dance, SGA and band. Blanca likes playing the guitar and loves to run. She describes herself as musical, smiley and friendly.

Gregory is a sophomore at Seward this year and comes from Hong Kong. He is the son of Kam-ming Leung and Wai-fan Lam. Gregory is a pre-pharmacy major and plans on transferring to the University of Kansas. Gregory is representing Phi Theta Kappa and is also a member of the International Student Organization. He describes himself as friendly, funny, and hardworking. Gregory is a skilled pianist and enjoys swimming and doing judo.

Katiuska Adarmes Adarmes is a sophomore at SCCC/ATS. She comes from San Cristobal, Venezuela. She is majoring in business, and she is representing the International Student Organization. She is a tennis player and will transfer to the Adelphi University in the state of New York next summer. In addition, she has hobbies like reading, working out or watching movies. Adarmes describes herself as an emphatic, ambitious and optimistic person.
Gabriel Beltran Beltran, a yell leader at SCCC/ATS, is a freshman from Liberal. Beltran plans to graduate with an associates of science degree. He describes himselfs as a funny and dedicated person. He likes playing and watching football and hanging out with friends. His future plans are to transfer to a four-year university. Radiology is one of his biggest interests, and he hopes to make that his career.
