// STRUCTURE TOCA DA RAPOSA I - YOUTH TEAM HEADQUARTERS Launched in 1973 and constructed in an area of 60,000m² this training center named “Toca da Raposa I” has got a great structure aiming at the formation of future mundial star players, besides receiving delegations and athletes from all over the world who are part of Cruzeiro’s exchange program. There are four training fields, a hotel, a swimming pool, a gym, medical, psychology, social service, performance analysis, physiology and nutrition departments, restaurant, administrative offices, auditoriums, changing rooms, a modern hotel whose usage is exclusive for the exchange programs and school with elementary and high-school levels that enable the educational formation of the athletes.

THE PHENOMENON AROSE HERE! It was in the Under-17 category of Cruzeiro that the phenomenon Ronaldo, legend of Brazilian football, appeared. In 1993, the Phenomenon reached Cruzeiro and became champion of the U-17 Minas Gerais Super Cup and Belo Horizonte Cup (National U-20 Championship), becoming top scorer in both competitions. Ronaldo, only 16, was promoted to the professional squad of Cruzeiro by coach Pinheiro. He played for a year, between 1993 and 1994, where he played 58 matches and scored 56 goals. In 1994, he was undefeated champion of the Minas Gerais Championship, being the top scorer of the competition with 22 goals. He also became the top scorer of the 1993 Copa Libertadores Champion’s Super Cup, with eight goals. He drew the attention of the national press when, in his first 50 matches, he scored 50 goals, having a goal average over Pelé. In two years of club, Ronaldo became idol of the Cruzeiro’s fans. After playing for the 1994 World Cup, as a substitute, a US$ 6 million proposal from the Dutch PSV took the idol out of Brazil - it was the largest transaction of Brazilian football until that year.

Created eleven years ago, in another pioneering initiative of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, the Department of International Business aims to develop the Cruzeiro brand abroad and disseminate the Club’s methodology around the world, as well as adding to the knowledge of our players and professionals, through the exchange of knowhow between international staff and athletes.
WE HAVE A LOT OF PROGRAMS, LIKE: •
Players Exchange Program: Regarded as the most prestigious exchange project in Brazilian football, the Cruzeiro Development Program aims to provide athletes and coaches from all over the world to experience, within the Toca da Raposa 1, how we train our athletes. In addition to pioneering, Cruzeiro is the only one that has a hotel inside its facilities exclusively built to exchange athletes (from 14 to 20 years) and football coaches of any age. 24 hour security, highly qualified bilingual professionals and complete structure. This project has already received more than 2,000 athletes from all over the world.

Cruzeiro International: Licensing of International Schools, where the methodology used for the training of our athletes is shared through soccer academies.

Cruzeiro Academy: EAD courses, clinics and seminars on the methodologies of Cruzeiro and Brazilian football.

Pre-season: Program for the pre-seasons of foreign teams. Use of all structures of the Training Center (Toca 1) to prepare for the season of your country.

Camp International: Soccer clinics for athletes and coaches from other countries, where our professionals travel to teach training abroad.

Blue experience: Football clinic for brazilians, where the trainings are given by the technical committee of the International Department of Cruzeiro. Exclusive clinics for goalkeepers, strikers and other positions.

Cruzeiro International: Tournament U-15 that happens in the Toca1, counting with the participation of national and international teams.
