Meet the President Grace Prorok is 17 years old from the Greater Cleveland Council and has been named the 2016-2017 Central Region Area 4 Venturing President. She is a member of Crew 4929 located in Twinsburg, OH. She has served as Vice President of Administration of the Tinkers Creek District VOA and as President of her crew. She also has held crew positions of Secretary, Vice President of Administration, and currently is their Historian. She serves as the communications director at Beaumont Scout Reservation this summer and was an outdoor skill scoutcraft counselor last summer. She is in her second year on staff. This summer she will be a troop guide on staff of the Greater Cleveland Council NYLT. For GCC she has staffed ILSC and Goal Setting and Time Management training. She has additionally taken ILSC, NYLT, The Trainers Edge, Wilderness First Aid, Kodiak Challenge, Goal Setting and time Management, and Mentoring. She has her Sports Bronze Award, her Discovery Award, and is currently working on her Pathfinder. Grace will be a senior at Twinsburg High School and Cuyahoga Valley Career Center this fall, where she studies
Media Technology. She is part of Cross Country, Bowling, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society and active in her Church youth group. She is class secretary for Media Tech Class of 2017. In her free time she enjoys making YouTube Videos and last year made one of the promotional videos for WorldFest 2016 and served on the communication team staff as a photographer. Her goals include education of those in Scouting about the opportunities available in Venturing and to improve her leadership skills and help other grow as well. Her passion for Venturing is obvious when you meet her and the area is pleased to have her “Leading the Adventure” this year.

CRVOO Recap
CRVOO 2016 was another great success! Incoming youth leaders from across the region came together to plan for a productive and fun term! While the program team worked to come up with innovative events ideas, the communication team discussed better ways to reach Venturers across the region, and the administration team planned to help councils with their VOAs. At the conclusion of CRVOO, we were able to honor many of those who have helped our region grow by presenting them with Region and Area VLAs. We would like to congratulate, and thank you for your service, to all of those who were recognized! We hope to see you at CRVOO next year! Go Lead the Adventure! –Cathie Seebauer

Farewell from Michael Gunther 2015-2016 Area 4 Venturing President
Hello Venturers! Thank you so much for such a great year! I had a blast serving as the 2015-2016 Area 4 Venturing President. Together we were able to accomplish more than I could have hoped for at the beginning of my term. I really just want to take this time to thank all the Venturers in Area 4. Whether it was coming to an area event, a council event, or hosting an event in your own Crew, everyone puts so much amazing effort into this amazing program. It’s by the enthusiasm and drive of each and every one of you that we were able to continue this great program. Every adventure, service hour, training, and advancement are helping to create the foundation for the future of Venturing. By expressing your interest and your love for Venturing, you are helping the program to flourish. I charge you all to continue to lead the adventure in your own lives, whether that be in your Crew, School, or Family. Again, sincerely, thank you all so much for a great year. Hello Venturers! My name is Cierra Beatty and I am excited to be serving as the 2016-2017 Area 4 Venturing Vice President of Communications.
