Meet Your 2016-2017 Area 6 Vice Presidents Olivia Stacey – Vice President of Administration Olivia Stacey is the 2016-2017 Central Region Area 6 Vice President of Administration. Olivia is from Dan Beard Council and is a resident of Alexandria, Kentucky. Olivia just graduated from Campbell County High School, where she was involved in Fun Bunch Club and Peer Tutoring. Olivia is involved with Crew 150. She is currently Crew 150's VP Administration and has served as the crew’s Secretary/Webmaster. She has completed the following trainings: ILSC, NYLT, and Youth Protection. Outside of Scouting, Olivia likes to volunteer for children who have special needs. Olivia’s goals for her term include helping to build the Venturing Program by increasing the number of Venturers and spirit.
Sydney Roscoe – Vice President of Communications Sydney Roscoe will serve as the Area 6 2016-2017 Vice President of Communications. Sydney has been involved in Venturing for 2 1/2 years with crew 457. She has served as Treasurer and President of Crew 457, as well as the 20152016 Vice President of Communications for Area 6. She attended NYLT last year and this year returns on staff. She spent most of her summer working as a crew guide at the Erie Shores Cub Scout Day Camp, this created a lot of great memories. She recently was chosen to receive a council VLA from Erie Shores Council. She has her Pathfinder award and is working on her Summit. Sydney is very excited to be returning as part of the Area 6 team and can’t wait to get started!
Nicole Whittle – Vice President of Program .
Nicole Whittle will serve as the Area 6 2016-2017 Vice President of Program. She is a member of the Sagamore Council located in Lafayette, IN which is a part of Area 6 in the Central Region and is currently registered in Crew 2372. Nicole became involved in Scouting at age 16 when she joined crew 2372. She didn’t know what she was getting herself into and has since grown as a person through experiences that her crew has provided for her. When she joined the crew she found her second family. Through them she learned to become a leader among her peers and continues to try to improve herself and make friendships with the most unlikely people. She has served as Crew 2372 VP Program. Nicole has completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC). Nicole is a sophomore at the Art Institute of Indianapolis majoring in Media Arts and Animation.
Billy Campbell – Vice President of Training Billy Campbell started Venturing “officially” in April 2013. Due to two older brothers, he has unofficially been scouting since birth. Billy earned his Arrow of Light in Cub Scouting, his Silver in Venturing and received his Eagle in Boy Scouting in May. Billy is currently the Treasurer of Crew 2111 and Purser of Ship 5111 in Anthony Wayne Area Council and your new VP of Training for Area 6.Outside of Scouting Billy has completed 9 years of 4-H and also loves playing video games on his PS4 and hanging out with friends. Billy is a senior at Central Noble High School and is participating in a vocational program to learn about auto body repair through Impact Institute. Billy’s goals include positively impacting our councils to spread the word and grow our program.
Meet Your 2016-2017 Area 6 President Jennifer Bullock – President Jennifer Bullock is the 2016 - 2017 Area 6 Venturing President. Jennifer Bullock is a member of Crossroads of America Council located in Indianapolis, IN which is a part of Area 6 in the Central Region, and is currently registered in Crew 545..Jennifer became involved in Scouting at the age of 15 with Crew 545 because she wanted to grow as a person and as a leader through practical experience, all while having fun, making new friends. She has served as Crew 545 President, Crossroads of America Council VP Communications, Area 6 Venturing President, Central Region VP Communications. Jennifer has completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC), National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT). Jennifer has earned her Religious Bronze, Gold, Silver, Venturing, God and Life, Council and Venturing Leadership Awards. Jennifer is a sophomore at Cincinnati Christian University majoring in Youth Ministry and minoring in Psychology.
Meet Your 2016-2017 Area 6 Advisor Anne Zimmer – Area Advisor Anne Zimmer serves as the Area 6 Advisor. Anne is part of the Dan Beard Council. She holds many positions within her district and council. She is currently Cubmaster to Pack 150, Committee Chairman to Troop 150, and Advisor to Crew 150. She is also Program Manager for the Dan Beard Council’s Scout REACH program. Anne has been involved in Scouting for over 23 years, and has been a part of Venturing since 2008. She has taken Powderhorn and loved that experience. She has been to Philmont with both her Troop and Crew and Sea Base with her Crew. She was a Cub Day Camp Director and a Wood Badge Course Director in 2013 and she recently served as the Dan Beard NYLT Scoutmaster in 2016.

Camping Recipe COCONUT S’MORES PIE Servings: 8–10 Preparation Time: 45 minutes Challenge Level: Easy What You’ll Need:
1/2 cup (1 standard stick) butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 standard-size ready-made graham piecrust (such as Keebler Ready Crust)
12-inch camp Dutch oven with trivet
Medium-size mixing bowl
What You’ll Do: Preheat Dutch oven using 17 coals on the lid and 8 briquettes under the oven. Cream butter in a medium-size mixing bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except the piecrust to bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour batter mixture into piecrust. Place pie pan on trivet in preheated Dutch oven and bake until top of pie becomes golden brown, about 30 to 40 minutes.
