Combat Robot Information
Machines that are automatically guided to do its own task are known as a Robot. It functions can range from a simple factory builders up to a complicated personal aide for human beings. Robots are quite helpful, useful, entertaining and a productive support for human beings. A hobby and eventually become a sport in which two machines compete, outmaneuver, and fight with each other is known as Robot Combat. In this game, two machines that are custom built uses different types of methods and weapons with the sole purpose of destroying and defeating its opponent. The first popular competition was organized in 1994 by Mark Thorphe and was known as Robot Wars. It was followed by other different competitions and was aired in different TV networks. Some of the most popular shows were Robot Wars, Battlebots and Robotica. Small other competitions are also held in the different parts of the world.
Combat Bots can range from simple radio controlled toys which weigh less than a pound up to more than a few hundreds of pounds with complicated metallurgy and electronics. In designing a combat robot, two factors should be considered: first, the robot can protect itself from indemnity, and second, it could inflict damage and immobilize the opponent. Various weapons can be attached to enhance the efficiency of combat bots like lifter, wedge, rammer, flipper, spinner, overhead axe, dustpan, clamper and crusher. Other enhancements like entangling and smothering weapons, flame and tethered projectiles can also be utilized. Combat bots fight out each other in the arena, just like any other fight games. Although building robot is costly and time consuming, builders can be anyone, with any age and comes with any walk of life. Schools even build and construct combat robots as part of their teaching methods for mechanical and technology design courses. Building combat bots are indeed, knowledge enhancers and brain stimulants.
