Playing the Piano? Come On! It's Fun! To be able to create music is something that everybody wants. However, more often than not, people just satisfy themselves with listening to it or singing with it. Yet, can you imagine yourself creating it, singing with it and listening to yourself playing the music that you want? That is the beauty of knowing how to play the piano. Playing the piano is hard yet fun. Although it needs more patience than anything else, it also gives the satisfaction and fulfillment that some other endeavors can't at the end of the day. And with the outburst of the different problems nowadays, playing the piano could also be therapeutic. Music itself is already a therapy thus, how much more if the person itself creates music by himself. The old time thinking that playing the piano is only for kids or for only those who have great talents in music has long been gone. Adults have as much right as children to play it. It is an endeavor for all walks of life and for people of all ages. I would not be probably the best person to talk about music and playing the piano but I could be the best candidate to talk about determination in playing it. I may not be a renowned pianist or composer but I know the hardship that I underwent and the patience that I put into would be enough to inspire people to pursue their love for music. I am a 26-year-old gal and have been a music lover myself since childhood. Most probably, every vein in my body shouts for music everyday which I gladly satisfy by listening to music as much as possible. Yet, personally, listening to music is not enough to fill in the gaps of my soul. To be able to create your music by playing the piano is a joy for me. Well, it doesn't have to be something grand or special at first, but doing so is a start and is possibly the gateway to success if paired with enthusiasm and determination.
Most people say finding a good piano teacher can be harder than learning the piano itself but I think the best piano teacher could be your ears. One has to learn how to keenly listen to every tone and every key of the piano. It isn't easy at first but conditioning yourself for such endeavor is an important thing. Then, playing the piano for at least 1 to 2 hours a day for 7 days a week is not easy but the pride of memorizing even just a stanza of your favorite song or a music piece is priceless which you can't just stumble on everyday. Yet, on top of it all, one has to remember the important something before playing the piano. Music can't be justified if you don't put your heart in it that would reflect your soul.
