Putting Drills to Improve Confidence in Golf You can be able to practice putting drills anywhere, basically a smooth space with true spin can do. Once you become a better putter, it actually becomes addictive and instead of becoming uncertain about the putt, you will start to like the dare of putting and come close to every shot with optimism rather than uncertainty. Here are some putting drills in order to improve confidence. The Wall Drill - Initially you have to stand facing the wall having your feet parallel into the wall. Set up the ball make your normal swing. The club stays at similar distance from the partition or wall during the whole swing with the exact conventional sway. Circle Drill - This drill may be done on the carpet or on the real green. Choose a target on the carpet or green. Then place the eight golf balls in the surrounding of the target. The first ball must only be around one foot distance from target. Keep on putting down the balls, every one must be about 1/2 up to one foot backward further from the first one. The balls must be positioned along a spherical path around the goal. Practice starting by means of the nearby ball and make sure that you will not consume much time in every putt. Now turn around and begin with the ball farthest away. Target Practice - This drill is the same as to darts; they only differ in the target, because the target is on the carpet. Cut out 3 circles from the paper. The least one must be about the dimension of real golf hole, the second around two to three times bigger and the third about two to three times bigger than the 2nd. Position them on the floor in order to make a target and allot points for every circle. The central circle is equivalent to ten points, the center circle is five and the outer ring is two. Take ten putts and try to find what is the score you got, seventy to ninety is excellent. Vertical Target Practice - Fundamentally similar as the carpet target practice, the only difference is that you are striking at the wall. Cut out 3 rectangular bits from a cardboard. They must not be taller than the curved strip on the wall. The first piece must be as broad as the real golf hole, the 2nd two to three times bigger and the 3rd two to three times bigger than the 2nd. Then put the biggest strip beside the wall initially then the 2nd, then the first. It may help if you color them to distinguish when striking. Now, get ten putts from similar spot aspiring for the middle of the goal. If you strike the center, you can get ten points, five points for the mid-point ring and two points for the outside ring.
