By the way, getting them off my space for a couple of days can be so refreshing. But by the time the holidays are over and schools are back, I’m left feeling like I need a recharge, an escape to nature and relative quiet.

Dan Sonko
The Rise of the Phoenix Dan is living on his own terms
Coming off a dramatic year, Dan Sonko opens up about the pressures of performing, parenting, leadership and what it feels like to be an actor, and the simple things that make him happy (Hint: not Instagram). Dan shares his experiences with Hannah Adari on how has taken an upward trajectory of hope, family and opportunities.
Dan Kinyanjui aka Dan Sonko is no stranger to many, both on social media and within Mombasa and . Known for his prowess in acting, his openness and expression of himself on matters of life, the tragic loss of his late wife and the beautiful two boys he is raising as a single dad – who is he really? He ushered us into his home and as we set up for the interview. He was extremely corporative and fun. I began to wonder does the media really tell us the real stories of who people are?
