TOP 5 MASK FASHIONS
Masks aren’t going anywhere, and as you have probably witnessed, creatives have wasted no time in reimagining this new accessory. I considered doing a Do’s and Don’t of Mask Fashion but if anything, that I say has even the slightest possibility of discouraging people from wearing their mask, no thank you. Enjoy—B.
The Homemade.
This is my diy Nike sock mask. This simple mask is exactly as it seems. She was a cinch to make, and garners compliments everywhere I go. It’s the perfect streetwear element to the casual sweats look while simultaneously pairs neatly with bold red prints and black leather. It’s the perfect mask for your cross aesthetic experimentation.
One of my favorite LA retailers, @Courtyard_LA, designed these stunning face masks for the modern-day renaissance woman. Her wearer is inspired by the finer things in life, like embroidered linens and recycled tapestry bustiers. She’s watching Emily in Paris while thinking of her own study abroad trip (real or fantasized)
This stunning creation by Tia Adeola is simply too pretty to ignore. It comes in a variety of colors, modeled here by @ diamonkwhite on Instagram in orange, and @samariazelisa in black. The feminine undertones perfectly mesh with the structure of the wrap-around piece. She specifically lives in my head rent free.
The pink disposable. When I first saw this mask, the baby shower pink offered welcome reprieve and comforting spirit. Not to be underestimated, she is nothing like the sterile electric blue we are all too familiar. Her softness is almost innocent, as if she has no idea the series of events that landed her on everyone’s Fall accessories list.
