Results from the 2015 First Destination survey show that 98.9% of seniors had one or more appointments/interactions with Career Services.

Career staff provided 2773 individual client appointments; this was an 8.7% increase from last year.

CONNECTING STUDENTS AND EMPLOYERS

Career Services provided an array of opportunities for students to personally connect with employers on- and off-campus. This included information sessions, Connections Kick-off, Career EXPO, Career Fairs, and On-Campus Recruiting. The staff worked to engage students of all classes and majors with employers with the goal of students learning early about employer opportunities and expectations.

CAREER FAIRS

855 students attended career fairs in 2015. Career Services partners with other MN colleges to provide several internship and job fairs for students. CSB/SJU students had access to 764 organizations to investigate internship and job opportunities, as well as graduate school programs.

ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING

314 on-campus student interviews were conducted. Interviews were scheduled via E-link, which held 3696 additional job and internship postings for CSB/SJU students. Students also connected with employers through Information Sessions and Connections Kick-off.

STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS During 2014-2015 Career Services completed a Program Review that included internal and external reviewers, identified strengths and opportunities and provided recommendations. A Career Committee, consisting of faculty and staff from Academic Affairs, Student Development and Alumnae/i Relations examined the Program Review, developed a response and communicated its work to the CSB and SJU Presidents. Per the Presidents' Charge, Academic Advising, Career Services and Experiential Learning and Community Engagement are now developing a strategic plan that will include: Learning outcomes and a four-year career development curriculum for CSB and SJU students A new collaborative staffing model An electronic system for more cohesive documentation of student engagement with Academic Advising, Career Services and Experiential Learning and Community Engagement The development of a "one-stop" shop approach A marketing and communications plan for the "one-stop" office Enhanced engagement with alumni
