Whirlwind of a meeting with The Council of State Governments and the National Conference of State Legislatures discussing mental health workforce challenges in lovely Charleston, SC. The challenges are immense but I am more confident than ever that we are all rising together to meet the moment!

I do not want this day to end, yet I’m simultaneously eager to get home and download the knowledge I captured at the #988 National Forecasting meeting.

I was humbled to represent the work in the #KCregion on this panel with Curt Gleeson, Lt. Allen Herring and pro moderator B. J. Wagner. I got dubbed a “star student” because we are leveraging federal grants from BOTH U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to advance a shared vision for equitable mobile crisis response. Thanks to these federal agencies and The Council of State Governments for hosting the peer exchange.

Americans can vote. Wherever they are. We’re in Florence, Italy, with @FVAP, @ Fvap_Rome and elections officials from across the U.S. to help eliminate the barriers for Americans living and serving abroad to cast their ballots.
