INTRODUCTION! ! SUMMARY!OF!THE!SRR!PROCESS!! The"SRR"grant"program"was"designed"to"help"states"take"a"systematic,"sustainable"approach"to"establishing" policies"and"practices"that"will"improve"recidivism"outcomes"for"a"large"portion"of"individuals"released" from"state"prison"to"the"community."Specifically,"the"program"calls"on"state"corrections"departments"to" invest"in"evidenceabased"programs"and"practices"for"reducing"recidivism"that"adhere"to"three"principles:"" 1. Focus"on"the"individuals"who"are"most"likely"to"recidivate"based"on"risk/needs"assessments"and"use" that"information"to"determine"the"type"and"intensity"of"programming"and"supervision"that"should" be"provided"to"them." 2.
