Thank you for agreeing to participate in the upcoming SCA FY14 Grantee Intensive Training Series event, being held at the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center in New York, NY from Wednesday, April 29 to Thursday, April 30. The CSG Justice Center will convene the most recent grantees funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance for SCA FY14 Adult Demonstration and Technology Careers grant recipients. This training will provide an opportunity for SCA grantees to meet their peers from around the country to learn about the requirements associated with their grants, and to hear from national experts about innovative, research-‐driven strategies for reducing recidivism and improving outcomes for people returning from prisons, jails, and juvenile facilities. I. Meeting Summary The meeting will be held at the CSG Justice Center, located at 22 Cortlandt St., 22nd Floor, New York, NY beginning on Wednesday April 29 at 7:45 a.m. (to allow time for security check-‐in). 1. Please be sure to bring your government-‐issued ID in order to gain access to the building. 2. Luggage cannot be stored at the CSG Justice Center. Luggage will need to be checked into the hotel (by you) and also retrieved from the hotel (by you) prior to departure from New York City. 3. You will receive a copy of the meeting agenda and materials by e-‐mail before April 28. II. Travel If you plan to travel to New York City by air, the closest airports are the John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport. You may also choose to use Newark International Airport located in Newark, NJ. You have the options of taking a cab or shuttle service to your hotel. We can assist you if you have questions. If you plan to travel to New York City by train: arriving at Pennsylvania Station (W. 34th St. and 8th Ave.) take the 2/3/A subway to Fulton St.; arriving at Grand Central Station (89 E. 42nd St.) take the 4/5 subway to Fulton St.
