glass companies and soon turned them into a company that became the second largest glass manufacturer in North America before the company was sold in 1992. Mr. Hubbard’s illustrious career in horse racing began in the 1960’s. His ownership interest in horse racetracks was from almost every corner of the United States. He was instrumental in establishing the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, and as a member of the Board of Directors, he co-founded its Racing Integrity and Drug Testing Task Force. In 2007, Mr. Hubbard was awarded the “John W. Galbreath Award for outstanding Entrepreneurship in the Equine industry”. Mr. Hubbard has served as Vice Chairman of Breeders’ Cup and has been active with the organization for many years. Throughout his career, Mr. Hubbard has campaigned more than 100 American Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred stakes winners, and because of his achievements and impact on the industry, Mr. Hubbard was honored by the American Quarter Horse Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame in 2009. In the spring of 2014, Mr. Hubbard was inducted as a member of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. Mr. Hubbard originally established the Crystal Springs Farm west of Paris, Kentucky. This area of Kentucky is in the heart of Thoroughbred country. There are four (4) MD Barnmaster custom designed horse barns with 183 total stalls. These are all custom made professional equestrian facilities. The Big Mare Barn contains approximately 19,992 square feet and includes 34 stalls, each 16 foot by 16 foot, with rubber mat floors, two wash bays, tack room with bathroom and washer and dryer hookup. Hot water to the wash bays is supplied by Rinnai tankless water heaters

To the north of the Training Barn is an open air and heated barn with 4 stalls each measuring 20 foot by 20 foot. In addition, there is a shedrow style barn with 14 stalls, each measuring 12

The fire suppression system has three large water storage tanks that are tied into the system to provide adequate water for fire suppression. The training barn has two conventional walkers located on each side of the barn, plus a round pen. Race Track - The facility includes a sixtenths mile oval racetrack and a 350 yard straightaway track. The racetrack is 40 feet wide with a 4 horse starting gate. The track was constructed with interior and exterior safety rails. The track was designed by Dennis Moore. The track’s surface material was delivered, groomed and represents the best and safest training track for any horse. The irrigated fields and paddocks are watered with a 300 gallon per minute well (100 acre feet water right allocation) located on the northeast corner of the property. A 10 inch main waterline from the well ties into other water lines ranging from 8 inch, 6 inch, 4 inch and 2 inch. The 10 inch waterline runs around the perimeter of the tract. There is a 1,515 foot (198 drops) Zimmatic Linear sprinkler on the center paddocks and a 421 foot (51 drops) Zimmatic Linear sprinkler on the south paddocks. Several of the smaller paddocks are watered with above ground Nelson Model irrigation guns. The paddocks are planted in Giant or common Bermuda Grass for grazing. There are 44 paddocks that were built with the Kentucky Style wood plank fence construction. The paddocks are all 4 wood plank, round upright wood post, round or oval perimeter, with no corners for the safety of the horses in mind. The main dwelling on the property is
an approximate 5,800 square foot custom built home, which was constructed in 1972. The main home has been remodeled and appliances upgraded since the Hubbard purchase in 2007.
