WELCOME. Welcome to the second edition of the Bruce Lynton newsletter for 2010. With the first half of 2010 behind us, our focus at Bruce Lynton is certainly on the road ahead. Having recently purchased a site in Tweed Heads, NSW our plans are well underway to bring a new state-of-the-art BMW dealership to the region by the end of 2011. The Northern Rivers is rapidly growing and with a large majority of our valued customers in this area, we hope to be able to provide an additional option for sales and servicing as well as an added convenience for interstate travelers. 2010 has welcomed two brand new models to our range - the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo and the BMW X1. We are already seeing new customers coming across to the BMW family with these new segment models, which is fantastic. Undeniably the release of the reinvented BMW 5 Series Sedan in June presents a cleaner, more technically advanced and dynamic car than ever. If you are yet to see or test drive these impressive vehicles, I encourage you to visit us today. A fantastic result was achieved following this year’s annual Bruce Lynton Charity Ball and first ever Golf Day with $162,616.90 raised for the event beneficiaries - Cancer Council Qld, Guide Dogs Qld, Surf Life Saving Qld and for the first time Youngcare. In this edition we introduce Youngcare to you and the incredible work they are doing with their Gold Coast project for the local young community with 24/7 high care needs. To our loyal BMW owners, we say thank you for your commitment and passion for our vehicles that helps to allow the brand to continue to grow. And also to our own staff, whose loyalty is of great importance. Many of you may know Peter Mills, our Individual Manager. Peter celebrates his 20th year of employment with Bruce Lynton in 2010. Because like you, many of our staff share the passion for BMW which helps foster the level of service, professionalism and dedication that you have come to know at Bruce Lynton. PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE JOY IS COMING TO TWEED. Some of the most exciting news for the Bruce Lynton Group in 2010 is our confirmed plans to expand to the Northern NSW, Tweed region. To many familiar with the area, the site previously most well-known as Scott’s fruit and vegetable market (located opposite the Ivory) will house a complete BMW sales, service and parts centre accommodating also for servicing of MINI vehicles within the facility. A satellite dealership will be established, however long term plans are to build a mixed-use development site. We aim to open the dealership in late 2011. The 5702sqm site with frontage to Boyd Street, Recreation Street and Terranora Terrace is the opportunity to offer customers in the southern end of the Gold Coast an additional option for both sales and servicing. The dealership will also plan to offer airport servicing for added convenience for customers when traveling interstate. The Scott family had owned the site since the mid 1950’s, and as a family owned and operated BMW dealership for over 35 years we are now proud to continue this tradition and also look forward to building community partnerships within the area.

NEW MODEL NEWS THE ALL NEW BMW X1: Youthful, Versatile and Efficient. In April, Bruce Lynton welcomed the new BMW X1 to the family having again created a new market segment with the introduction of the world’s first luxury compact Sports Activity Vehicle. The X1 joins the X family just over 10 years after the the ground breaking X5 was originally introduced. Since then, we have expanded our lineup of dynamic, safe and efficient SAVs with the X3 and X6 and the new X1 promises to maintain our enviable reputation for ultimate driving pleasure. COMMUNITY CHARITY BALL The 2010 Bruce Lynton Charity Ball celebrating its 10th anniversary was held on Saturday 17 April at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. This year’s event proved a huge success with close to 800 guests in attendance entertained throughout the evening by Aussie music icons The Black Sorrows and Mental as Anything. Close to $162,616.90 was raised and donated to the event’s charity beneficiaries – Cancer Council Queensland, Guide Dogs Queensland, Surf Life Saving Queensland and for the first time Youngcare. This amount of funds raised could not have been achieved without the generous support of all our sponsors including RACV Royal Pines Resort, Group Production Services, AVI Corporate and Solution Red. The Bruce Lynton Charity Ball also receives fantastic support from both local and interstate businesses through the donation of silent and grand auction prizes for which we thank you. On behalf of the entire team at Bruce Lynton and our charities, thank you to all our wonderful guests in helping this a must attend annual event on the social calendar. CHARITY GOLF DAY On Friday 16th April Bruce Lynton held their inaugural charity golf day at RACV Royal Pines Resort in the lead up to the Saturday night’s ball. The event proved to be a success with just over $7000 raised and donated to the charity beneficiaries. This event will be sure to be marked on the social calendar for many years to come. So be sure to save the date for next year’s charity golf day, scheduled to be held Friday 20 May 2011.
TSS OLD BOYS GOLF DAY Bruce Lynton Group has been a long standing supporter of The Southport School (TSS). This year Bruce Lynton will continue this sponsorship by supporting the TSS Foundation Golf Day and OSA McWhirter Cup. COMMUNITY YOUNGCARE For the first time in 2010, Youngcare was introduced as an event beneficiary of the Bruce Lynton Charity Ball. As a relatively new organisation Youngcare has achieved incredible feats since being established in 2005. With their sights now set on the Gold Coast, the Youngcare Apartments Gold Coast project has already attracted significant support from the Federal and Queensland Governments, media and the Australian community at large. However more is still needed to ensure the project comes to life, and only through the support of the community, will this be made possible.
Currently, 6,500 young people with 24/7 care needs are living in aged care simply because there are few alternatives. A further 700,000 are struggling at home with strained support from family, friends and a range of community groups. Being young is about having a lifetime ahead of you, yet aged care is designed for someone who is at the end of their life. The realities of aged care mean a young person will share a residence where the average age is 86 and the average life expectancy is just three years. In 2007, Youngcare opened the first Youngcare Apartments Brisbane, providing a home to 17 residents. The second accommodation project, Youngcare Apartments Gold Coast, at Coomera is due to be completed in the next 12 months and will feature: • Seven individual residential apartments (one bedroom) and one overnight guest room for family and friends to stay. • Common share amenities including flexible living/dining spaces for spending time with friends and relatives (including a pool and a gym for therapy). • Equipment for ongoing resident rehabilitation and therapy. • Operational facilities will include a commercial kitchen, support staff amenities and parking. • Each apartment will be approximately 76 m2, containing a kitchen, bathroom, living space and an outdoor courtyard of approximately 17 m2 • Youngcare is committed to driving change to create real choices in care and accommodation options for your Australians with full time care needs.

MINI CHALLENGE Keep an eye out during this year’s MINI Challenge Circuit with Dealer Principal, Beric Lynton again taking to the wheel.
