WELCOME

Dear Business, Community, and Thought Leaders, Welcome to the CSQ LA Visionaries Summit, our annual convergence of the impactful people and brilliant ideas that are driving the region, and the world, forward. It is our privilege to host you and your colleagues for a full day of keynotes, panels, and passion presentations built around the content pillars and community established through our quarterly print publication. Los Angeles, the most dynamic and diverse market in the world (as well as the third largest economically), is also one of the most fragmented. But that’s starting to change, as more industry leaders recognize the shared goals that unite our city and work toward achieving them with collective effort. Our mission is to inspire, connect, and educate through our platform, whether in the form of our award-winning magazine or off the page in a live forum such as the LA Visionaries Summit. The four pillars of today’s program center on Innovation & Technology, Real Estate & Finance, Sports & Entertainment, and Philanthropy, Art, & Culture. We will explore topics in these quadrants via an array of 35+ experts, entrepreneurs, and success stories, many of whom have been (or soon will be) featured in CSQ. For example, healthcare innovation and biotech advances have moved the medical field light years ahead, to the point where we can contemplate conquering cancer. As such, we are honored to have Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, our Visionary of the Year in Philanthropy, Art, & Culture and recipient of our Spirit of the Community Award, setting the tone for the day with our Opening Keynote.

<<pages>>

As you settle into the day’s agenda, I hope you are moved to contribute to the elevated discourse taking place via this exclusive network of leadership. There are opportunities and partnerships amongst us today, both for personal and professional interests, and we are humbled to be the purveyors of such a powerful platform for both connectivity and advancement. Thank you again for your interest in joining us and we look forward to taking Los Angeles to the Summit, one investment at a time. Always,

David L. Wurth CEO & Publisher C-Suite Media, Inc. C-Suite Quarterly CSQ.com

A Commitment to Community EDUCATION PROVIDES THE ULTIMATE PATHWAY to improving the lives of families, builds the fabric of our communities and develops the human capital necessary for prosperity. To this end, USC supports families and youth, promotes small business development and economic growth and instills in its students a profound commitment to participate in civic life. USC supports 3,500 children in college access programs and more than 600 children in pre-school and early literacy programs each year. The USC Neighborhood Academic Initiative (NAI), the university’s signature college prep program that enrolls close to 1,000 students annually, sends 100 percent of its students to college, with nearly half of participants successfully enrolled at USC on full-tuition scholarships. The University of Southern California is proud to be a Good Neighbor in the communities of Los Angeles.
