This project is on the west side of the ancient river temple. It aims to design a place for communicating China's traditional culture, like tea, poetry and calligraphy sets, chess and so on.
The main design concept uses traditional Chinese landscape architecture as the carrier to inherit and promote history and culture and landscape architecture as the medium. The two water systems in the garden bring in the water from Ruyiwan and the lake, connecting the two water systems of Ruyiwan and the pond to form a coherent state. This is not only a connection between the water systems but also a symbol of the cultural link between the inside and the outside.
The overall architectural layout still retains the traditional central axis of the academy. Still, it is hidden in the garden, which is both ritualistic and free from the original constraints, representing that the academy is no longer the traditional lectures of the past, but an open way to exchange cultural places.
