DSST Get College Credit exams are college subject exams that you can take to earn college credit for knowledge you acquired outside of a traditional classroom. There are 38 subject exams from which to select in disciplines such as Business, Humanities, Mathematics, Physical Science and more.

DANTES Funded. DANTES funds DSST testing for eligible service members and civilian examinees at Base Education Offices and at National Test Centers (NTCs). DANTES funds the first attempt on each DSST subject exam; subsequent attempts of the same DSST subject exam are self-funded. Save Time and Tuition Assistance Dollars. Depending on your college’s credit by examination policy, you can earn credit for the training you acquire while on active duty, leveraging what you already know and applying it toward college credit. As you deploy or move to a different base, the credits will transfer with you, allowing you to learn your subjects in your own time and at your own pace.

Rely on Nationally Approved Exams. All 38 subject exams have been reviewed and approved for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE). The ACE provides both a recommended passing score and number of credits that could be awarded to successful students. Each exam has been recommended for three credits.
