DIRECT DEPOSIT RSP needs your direct deposit form SF-1199 in order for you to get paid. Fax, carrier pigeon or scan it to RSP as soon as possible to avoid pay issues and make sure your bank fills it out so the info is correct. If RSP does not get it before drill you will see your paycheck mailed out to you 4-5 weeks after drill.

For Stripes for Skills you need to take a PT test and take the stripes for skills test at RSP. Call RSP to schedule an appointment to do this if you want to get promoted before drill.

BAH (BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR HOUSING) You are entitled to BAH if you have the following: (Soldiers without Dependants) Notarized Copy of mortgage, signed lease/ rental agreement, and a utility bill (cable/electric) in Soldiers name verifying property address and residency. YOUR LEASE/RENTAL AGREEMENT NEEDS TO GO THROUGH YOUR TRAINING PERIOD!!!!! (Single Soldiers with Dependants) Notarized Copy of Mortgage/ Lease/ Rental Agreement. Child’s Birth Certificate, child’s social security card. Male Soldiers additional documents- Court Order establishing paternity or paternity affidavit. Form VS-56 ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF PATERNITY Document (Married Soldiers) Marriage Certificate with Court filed number and court filed date. Copies of social security cards, birth certificates and spouses I.D. card (license, state I.D. or military I.D) are needed as well.

Any documentation for Stripes for Education needs to be in handed into RSP within the first 6 months of your enlistment in order to be promoted. Transcripts, proof of JROTC/ROTC, Civil Air Patrol, Eagle Scout.

FEDERAL TUITION ASSISTANCE (FTA) In order to apply you need to sign onto AKO. After that click on “self service”. Find the “my education” link and click on it. Find the “GO ARMY ED” link on the page and follow the instructions to apply for FTA. To complete it either fax or scan the signature page to RSP.
As drilling National Guard Soldiers you can apply for TRICARE reserve select health insurance. To do so Google “TRICARE” and follow the steps online to sign up.
