Coordinate transportation to and from Camp Niantic for yourself (call your recruiter if you have any issues) Bring a lock If you are under a doctor’s care for any reason: Contact your recruiter and RSP at 860-223-8023 prior to drill. Bring documentation. Bring spare PT gear if you were not issued any: (sweatpants, shorts, tshirt, sweatshirt sneakers)(we will be training outdoors) No personal electronic devices Bring your ID to drill. All warriors are required to bring a photo ID. See your recruiter if you do not have a military ID. Hair to include facial must be in accordance with AR 670-1: Males report clean shaven and get a haircut before drill Personal hygiene items. You will be staying over- night on Friday and Saturday, so make sure to bring personal hygiene items, (deodorant, toothbrush/paste, towel, razor, shower shoes, etc) and make sure you bring a change of clothes. Hydrate (aka drink water): Begin hydration at least two days before training. All tobacco products are prohibited at RSP drill. Physical Training (PT) is not a once a month event. You should be training throughout the month. At a minimum train three days a week to improve your push-ups, sit-ups, and 2 mile run score. Review your battle book for nutrition and PT guidelines. Bring your Battle book to every drill.

REPORT TIMES Gold Phase: Between 0645-0700 to Building 102 in PT Gear. Bring ACU’s/civilians ALL OTHER PHASES: Between 07450800 to the Regional Training Institute (RTI) Uniform is ACU’s if issued/if not issued wear civilians. Bring seasonal appropriate PT gear. Boots are not running shoes bring sneakers for PT. Parking: Privately Owned Vehicles (POVs) are to be parked behind Colonel Nett Hall (near the RTI) Gold Phase Dismissal: Sunday at 1200 All other phases’ dismissal: Sunday at 1500

Drill attendance is mandatory. Bring a black pen and your battle book to drill After Hurricane Sandy has passed, if it hits the state all, RSP soldiers are required to check in either on the facebook page or to contact RSP via e-mail or phone.

NO BUSES UNTIL JANUARY ALL SOLDIERS ARE TO EITHER DRIVE THEIR POV TO DRILL OR GET A RIDE. CONTACT YOUR RECRUITER AND RSP IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE.

Sunday: PT, clear barracks, Drill and ceremony White Phase (2 OR MORE DRILLS): Saturday: Soldiers Creed; Warrior Ethos, Rank and Reporting, History of ARNG, Every Soldier is a Sensor, FATS, APFT, Drill and Ceremony Sunday: PT, Clear Barracks Green Phase :( COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING) (know your AKO username & password) Saturday: Inspections, Squad Formations, React to Contact, Every Soldier is a Sensor/Salute, APFT, Drill and ceremony, and FATS Sunday: PT, Clear Barracks Blue Phase: Last drill prior to shipping Saturday: Same as Green Sunday: PT, Ship Brief, Clear Barracks st

BLUE AND PURPLE PHASE SOLDIERS HAVE TO STAY THE ENTIRE DRILL

Must Do’s PAY: ALL members must have Direct Deposit. Google “SF 1199” if you need to get one. Have your bank fill it out. Either fax or scan to RSP ASAP. If RSP does not receive your direct deposit before drill you will see your paycheck 4-5 weeks in the mail after drill. You are eligible to enroll in “TRICARE Reserve Select” as long as you are an active drilling member of the National Guard. TRICARE Reserve Select is an affordable fee based insurance plan that you can pay for from your monthly drill check. You can also enroll your family. Go to https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/aapj/trs/index.jsp for details and enrollment instructions. Be patient and read everything. Once there, select purchase coverage and you will be guided through the process. Follow all the instructions and don’t rush through it. This website can help you find the military I.D. facility closest to your home. If you are married or have children they need an I.D. card so they can get benefits like health insurance, P.X. access. Make sure to get your MIL ID, RSP will be using it to sign you into drill.

If you cannot make drill contact your recruiter and the RSP ASAP do not wait till the day of drill to let us know. Bring three black pens to drill, one to replace the one you lost on the way to drill, one for your buddy that lost his on the way to drill and one for you to use during the weekend. Commander’s Notes: Welcome Congratulations on your decision to serve your country. Remember you represent the United States Army and the Connecticut Army National Guard both in and out of uniform. Always conduct yourself in a manner that brings credit to yourself and your unit, the CTARNG and the U.S. Army. Physical conditioning is your personal responsibility and must be done regularly in order to prepare for basic training. Get training advice from the RSP cadre or your recruiter. The RSP Cadre wants you to be successful in all your training. Safety Winter is here and a great time to start enjoying outdoor activities. Remember that the weather changes quickly and wear appropriate clothing. Remember to practice safe habits when participating in outdoor activities. If you ride a motorcycle you must have a state issued license, wear Department of Defense mandated safety clothing, and complete the MSF safe rider program. Do not operate a vehicle after consumption of alcohol or prescription drugs. You can access the BHO survey via theG1 Portal (CAC access is not needed) https://g1arng.army.pentagon.mil/Pages/StayGuardSurvey.aspx Clicking the Battle Hand Off (survey)button will take you to the log on page: You will need your assigned Unit Identification Code (UIC) - NOT the RSP UIC - in order to log on and complete the survey. Contact your recruiter for the UIC.
