The world of paper is incredibly vast, with a wide range of variation. These are the most common types of paper used for decor.

Paper weight is determined by weighing a ream of 500 sheets of a particular paper. There are a few different units that are common in talking about paper: GSM, points, and pounds.

Different jobs call for different finishes.
COATED & UNCOATED
VS Coated papers are excellent for printing and provide great color and crispness, which makes them ideal for photographs and signage. Common finishes for coated papers are glossy and matte, but it can be finished in many ways.
Uncoated papers provide more options for tactile surfaces and texture, but also come in smooth finishes. Uncoated paper is great for decorations and simple graphics.

FSC CERTIFICATION Sustainable options for your paper decor FSC’s mission is to promote and enhance well-managed forests through credible certification that is environmentally responsible, socially acceptable, and economically viable. In order to use any FSC® trademarks, including the FSC logo, initials “FSC”, or phrase “Forest Stewardship Council” on a printed piece, the printer and all intermediate owners of the product must have chain-of-custody certification.
