Redbourn in Bloom Events

Sat. 1st April. Next regular weeding / dead-heading session – Starting at 9.30 am at the Fire Station. If you can spare an hour or two, we’ll be delighted to see you!

Mon. 8th May. The Big Pick! R I B will be joining in with the Big Village Litter Pick on Coronation Bank Holiday Monday, designated a National Volunteering Day.

Wed. 14th June. Talk – The Labour-Saving Garden by Philip Aubury, former Director of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, 7.30 pm at the Parish Centre. Tickets £10 (nonmembers), £8 (members) will be on sale after Easter.

Wed. 23rd August. Day Trip to Waterperry Gardens, Oxon. Coach transport from Redbourn, guided tour, restaurant lunch available. Members and non-members welcome.

Luton Hoo Walled Garden Spring events

Bluebell Walks on April 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

We cannot guarantee that the bluebells will actually be out but we hope so! Taking about an hour and a half across estate land, which is not normally open to the public, the walk will return along the majestic lime tree avenue. Spring Open Day on Wednesday April 12th from 10.3013.00, Adults £5 children £3 under 2s free. It’s the Easter holiday so there will activities for children such as “Fun with Arts and Crafts”; “Hunt the Bunnies” “Plant a bulb”. Come and have some fresh air and fun. No need to prebook.

Talks on Fridays have been as popular as ever. And the last one this series is on April 28th “Gertrude Jekyll in Bedfordshire”. It will take place in the lecture room at the Estate Office. Price includes tea/coffee and biscuits.
