Introducing users to the fundamentals of using a mobile phone, including making a call, working through menus and managing your address book.

May Texting on your mobile phone Tuesday 29 May, 2–4pm Bookings open 27 April, 8.45am Learn what an SMS (text message) is and how to create, send and receive one. You’ll also learn some tips to locate space buttons, capitals and symbol keys to make it easier and quicker for you to text.

Taking pictures on your mobile phone Thursday 31 May, 10.30am–12.30pm Bookings open 27 April, 8.45am Quick, handy and easy to use. Learn about the camera on your mobile phone, how to take photos and move them from your phone to your PC to email, print or save.

Learn how to go from one website to another, what are the best search terms to use, plus lots of other handy hints and tricks.

November Playing on the phone and the internet Wednesday 14 November, 10.30am–12.30pm Bookings open 12 October, 8.45am It’s play time in the training room where we respond to you. Bring your phone along or just jump on a PC as this workshop will be LQWHUDFWLYH DQG à H[LEOH JLYLQJ \RX SOHQW\ of opportunities to ask questions, get some help and learn some new tricks.

We also have a range of online resources that you can access from our website, either in the Library or from home, and a large range of computer books that you can borrow.
