Welcome page

What is CUbRIK and what can it do for you? CUbRIK is a Collaborative Research Project participated by 15 partners and partially funded by the European Union in the FP7, aiming at introducing innovative patterns within the Multimedia search domain. The CUbRIK fashion App is an application developing new tools for the prediction of fashion trends and the identification of customer needs in the fashion domain. Taking into account that your customers are at the heart of fashion trends, the data provided and analysed by CUbRIK will help you to detect these trends as soon as they evolve. Furthermore you will also be able to trigger new trends by stimulating a process of open innovation with your target group. What is your benefit in answering this questionnaire? Answering the questions will take no more than 15 minutes and you will receive the following benefits: 1. Become a member of the “Fashion Innovators Club� bringing together the most cutting-edge enterprises of the fashion industry 2. Usability and features of the App

2.4.1

Personal impression of the App (Social Network Trends)

The following figure shows the Social Network Trend analysis provided by the Fashion App.

He logs into the CUbRIK Fashion App and selects the Social Network Trends. He is especially interested in trend information about skirts. So he selects the category “Skirts�.

Oliver can see the Color Trends of Now and over the past 6 months. He realizes that pink is the most popular color for skirts. In the Color Combination Trends section he can see which other colors people like to wear with pink. The Print & Graphics Trends show Oliver the most popular patterns for skirts as well as example images for each pattern. He can save the Trend Analysis in order to come back to it later. Please state to which degree you consider the following statements to be true.

The presented trend analysis is clear and well structured.

Figure 2: Screenshot of the CUbRIK Fashion App (Most Popular Photos) With the trend analysis in mind Oliver wants to obtain more visual impressions of the clothes people like, especially with regard to skirts. In the popular Photos view he can browse the Most Popular Photos uploaded, shared or commented by users of Social Networks. The popularity is measured, for example, by the number of tweets on Twitter. Initially, Oliver will see the Most Popular Photos of all categories and without any filtering applied. He can now narrow down the images shown by Category (e. g. skirts), Age, Gender or Country.
