Culford Oak Donor Tree

A unique way to be part of Culford’s planned new landmark Library

Culford’s Planned New Library

The Culford Oak Donor Tree was hand crafted especially for us. It is made up of a hand carved wooden trunk decorated with 100 brass oak leaves available for dedication by individuals or groups of donors.

Former pupils often tell us that their years at Culford were some of the happiest times of their lives. Many parents also say how much they value the role Culford plays in helping to shape their children into successful and well-rounded individuals. The Donor Tree provides a lasting way for parents, alumni and other friends of the School to show their appreciation and support for future developments.

Dedicate a Leaf Each leaf on the Culford Oak Donor Tree can be dedicated to someone or something special to you. You may dedicate a leaf on the tree as an individual, as a family or as a group of donors, either by making a one-off gift of £2,500 or by making monthly donations for up to three years. Leaves can be engraved with a short dedication, or with the donor’s or donor group’s name, or may remain anonymous if you wish.

The funds raised will be donated to the building of a £2.2million landmark Library. Situated at the academic heart of the School, the new Library is destined to become a prominent feature in the Culford landscape and an important new facility for the benefit of Culford pupils, both now and for generations to come. Currently located within Culford Hall, the Donor Tree will eventually be moved to its permanent home at the entrance to the Library and will face The King of the Park, planted c1591, during the time of Shakespeare, and famously the oldest oak tree on the Culford estate. Leaves will be displayed in perpetuity, in lasting recognition of each gift towards the building of the Library. Donors will be invited to the celebratory opening event and recorded in the Campaign for Culford Book of Donors.

*If you choose to contribute monthly your leaf will be engraved with your chosen dedication as soon as your personal donation fund reaches £2,000.
