Hello hello… The forever that was 2020 is almost behind us… it’s felt like 365,000 days and it seems weird to think that we started the twenties with such joie de vivre. Optimism was trending until… it wasn’t, and as hope turned to worry, we figured out new ways to navigate life without access to family, friends and our daily routines – not to mention the hardship and heart-breaking losses so many have endured. But, as Nancy Mitford once said; “Life is sometimes sad and often dull, but there are currants in the cake” and, if anything good can be said to have come from our shared isolation, for many this came as a reminder to reassess what brings fulfilment (hop to page 9 for more of my musings). And speaking of self-care, we couldn’t be any more thrilled to have interviewed fearless entrepreneur and creator of goop Gwyneth Paltrow – skip to page 12 to read GP’s top tips for a healthy mind, body and soul. We’ve witnessed an influx of launches to treat the skin south-of-your-chin with the same TLC you’ve reserved for your face and on page 45, Ava Welsing-Kitcher tells you how she does a body facial, while industry icon Wayne Goss shares his guide for the guys on page 22 – great if you are one (or have one to buy for).
