Culture Ireland provides support for the promotion of Irish artists and arts worldwide and develops new and diverse international markets for Irish arts.
GRANT PROGRAMME Culture Ireland’s Grant Programme operates three times annually and offers support for travel related costs for Irish professional artists presenting their work internationally. Applications are accepted from the Irish artists/arts organisation or the international host festival or venue. All events being supported by Culture Ireland must be open to a public audience and artists must be remunerated for their work. Touring activity rather than one-off events are favoured. Applications are accepted through the Culture Ireland website and the timelines for 2019 are included below.
SHOWCASE PROGRAMME Culture Ireland’s Showcase Programme creates and develops international opportunities through selected market oriented events which attract international presenters. The detailed schedule of Culture Ireland Showcase Programme is overleaf. Calls for applications for Culture Ireland support to participate are made well in advance of the showcase events through the Culture Ireland website and are based on artists having confirmation of a showcase opportunity from the event organisers.
SEE HERE PROGRAMME Through the See Here Programme, Culture Ireland supports incoming programmers and festival directors to visit Ireland to see the work of Irish artists. The support is focussed around the festivals in Ireland to ensure there is a concentrated programme of Irish work to be experienced and artists and companies available to meet. Applications to Culture Ireland are coordinated through the host festival/event.
