PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE THE LORD'S PRAYER
†
Please stand as you are able.
This Little Light of Mine — arr. Pamela C. Bye The Lord is Sovereign; let the people tremble in awe. God is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth shake. The Lord is great in Zion, and is high above all peoples. Proclaim the greatness of the Lord our God, and worship Yahweh upon the holy mountain. #185 When Morning Gilds the Skies — LAUDES DOMINI #887 Affirmation from Romans #71 Glory Be to the Father — GREATOREX After each prayer, the leader may conclude: Lord, in your mercy. All may respond: Hear our prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
GOD'S WORD PROCLAIMED CANTICLE
A Prayer for Tomorrow — Allen Pote Dreams, we all have dreams, what we can be, what we can do. Lord, with all we are, we pray that our dreams will lead us to you. See our hands, what will they make, Lord? See our feet, where will they run? See our hearts, who will they love Lord? See our lives, we've just begun. In our eyes, you see tomorrow. On that day one thing we'll know: there's a dream from one who loves us, that is greater than our own! (Children, kindergartners through third grade, are invited to exit the Sanctuary for Children’s Worship. Children will return to reserved pews in the Sanctuary at the close of worship.)
SCRIPTURE
Luke 9:28-36 (pew Bible New Testament page 85) This is the word of God for the people of God. Thanks be to God.

OUR RESPONSE TO THE WORD AND THANKSKGIVING OFFERTORY
Do You Know Your Shepherd's Voice — Suzanne Lord Do you know your Shepherd's voice? Are you listening with your heart? Have you stopped to hear Him calling, hear the words His peace impart? As the world shouts its orders that are easiest to hear, won't you draw away and listen to your Shepherd standing near? Are you listening? The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want, He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. Are you listening? Do you know your Shepherd's voice?

Stephen Ministry can be life-changing. If you or someone you know could benefit from Stephen Ministry, please contact Deena Morgan (336-692-2314), Wilba Brady (336723-6236), Rev.
