Happy Fall Loves! Three years ago this week I drafted two emails that have forever changed my life on a whim. One to my very first assistant who is now my director of advertising aka director of chaos, Skye who is STILL basically my life-line and one to the amazing graphic designer behind cupcakeMAG. It was absolutely crazy as I was looking through the final edits of our 12th issue to think that my random Friday night idea over pizza with husband has become what is it today. 12 celebrity cover shoots later...I still absolutely LOVE my job and every single person I’ve met along the way. Those two emails truly did change my life. On October 4th of 2013 I decided I want to take cupcakeMAG to the next level and create both a printed magazine and an online magazine. I wanted to step out of the so-called “blogging” world and do something fun, something I loved since I purchased Seventeen at the age of 12. I wanted to make my dreams of having a magazine finally come true. Here we are publishing our 12th issue of cupcakeMAG and it’s officially been 3 years since our very first issue was in the planning stages. How absolutely crazy is that? It’s hard to wrap my head around it but I am forever grateful for those who have been readers every step of the way.

Motherhood You fell in love with her on The Hills and now she’s a new-mom with a beautiful baby girl, gorgeous home and is still one of the sweetest and down-to-earth girls we know. cupcakeMAG sits down for a one-on-one at Audrina’s cozy house. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention Audrina’s adorable dog, Lady.
We had such a wonderful time shooting the cover at your beautiful new home. Between your adorable baby girl and new home, you’ve had some amazing changes. We’d love to know what you are loving most about being a new mom.
It’s fun because my fans and I have all grown up together over the years, and many of the girls I meet are new moms or just getting married. I think it’s only natural that I’m building an audience of people going through similar experiences and in similar places in their lives.
I love everything about being a mama. Kirra’s smile melts my heart and I love watching her grow. It’s so much fun to see more of her personality come out every day.

You’re daughter Kirra is 3 months old so you are now managing your career and your family life! We’re dying to know: how did being on reality TVaffect your every-day life. Do you find many of your current fans were also fans of from The Hills or are you mostly building a new audience altogether? cupcakeMAG.com
Since so much of your site is about fabulous fashion, food, and your favorite things, we have to ask: what are some of your beauty and style must-haves? To be honest, I’ve been such a homebody lately, but some of my beauty go-to’s right now are Oribe Gold Dust shampoo and conditioner, which smell so amazing, PCA tinted moisturizer, Epicuren eye serum, and Farm Fresh milk lotion in sweet cream. As far as style, I am actually in desperate need of a shopping day! I have been living in the same comfy clothes lately since I’ve been spending so much time at home. When I do find time to shop, my go-to store is Planet Blue. I love 25
that fringe and high-waisted bottoms are still in style! I’m also loving thigh high boots, chokers and beanies for fall. ········· Your blog is so much fun to read! What led you to want to start blogging? My fans ask me so many questions about health, beauty, fashion and what I’m up to these days, and I knew starting a blog would be the perfect way to stay connected and update everyone on what’s going on in my life. I’ve been especially pressed for time lately with moving into a new house, having a baby, and planning a wedding, but I try to publish a couple posts each week. ········· What are some of your favorite beauty must-haves? Nars Orgasm and Laguna bronzer/blush duo, Farm Fresh milk lotion, Becca highlighter, and MAC lip pencil lipsticks. I also make an amazing salt scrub with essential oils that I use when I shower. ········· 26

Tell us about your current mom uniform? Are you a jeans or yoga pants kinda girl? I like to wear both! Yoga pants are so comfy, but if I’m running errands I’ll throw on cute jeans and a t-shirt. ········· As a new-mom, what are a few things you can never leave home without? I never leave the house without a diaper bag loaded with baby goodies, my cell phone, a water bottle, and lots of little snacks to keep my energy level up (breast feeding burns so many calories!). ········· When it came to designing the nursery, did you know exactly what you wanted her room to look like? Where did you pull the inspiration from as you putting this beautiful space together? Yes, I knew exactly what I wanted! I really wanted it to be 28
beachy and girly and the vintage mermaid/beach feel was perfect. ········· Obviously, you’re “in the know” when it comes to fashion and beauty but let’s talk about your gorgeous home – can you share your favorite things in your new home and how fun was the process decorating such a gorgeous space? Recently I have become so obsessed with home décor. I am seriously glued to HGTV and have been decorating my new house non-stop. I love it! I want my entire house to feel like a Bali bungalow, almost like I’m on vacation at home. ········· What kinds of projects and ventures are coming up next for you? I am about to launch a very exciting new project soon! This is something I have been working very hard on for years trying to perfect it, and it’s finally almost time to launch! How gorgeous are these beautiful orange watercolor invitation from Tiny Prints? For a simple lunch, invitations aren’t always necessary, but t’s a sweet detail most guests appreciate. Who doesn’t love getting fun mail espeically to a lunch with friends?
Jenny made the most amazing gooey chocolate cake topped with caramel apples. Talk about delicious and easy to make! She layered chocolate naked cake and then topped it with a chocolate ganache. After the ganache dries, all you have to do is place three small apples on top (with sticks inserted into the tops) and poured melted caramel over the top.

To drink, Jenny made a Cranberry Apple Cider using TreeTop Honeycrisp Apple Juice with Cran Raspberry Juice and Tito’s Vodka. She added sliced oranges, cranberries and cinnamon sticks for garnish. This can be served hot or cold and with or without vodka. Your choice!
Don’t have a bar cart? Don’t worry! Jenny suggests, using a entryway table, console or even your kitchen counter for a great bar. Don’t overthink your drink! Keep it simple and offer one or two signature drinks for guests, and if you’re serving alcohol, always be sure to offer a non-alcoholic drink for those who don’t drink. Copper cups are they way to go!

• Peeled and chopped honey crisp apple • Peeled and chopped Bartlett pear • Caramelized pecans Take 1/4 cup sugar in a fry pan with 1 cup pecans. Have extra blankets on hand or ask guests to bring a coat if you’re hosting something outdoors. You just never know what the weather will do! Our lunch was a little chilly. I ended up pulling out every scarf and blanket I had to keep everyone warm, but the sun ended up coming out and we all warmed up quick!
