1.6 A twist in the traditional tale

Here is the middle of a story based on one of Aesop’s fables.

Focus 1 Read the story middle and decide on a lesson that the story will teach. 2 Write a title for the story that explains the lesson.

Practice 3 Write the opening in one or two sentences to set the scene.

Challenge 4 Decide how the story ends and write the ending. 5 Illustrate your story.
